The question was not "are you micro doping" or of that sort. And while not appropriate at that moment is that not a valid question as well?
I am actually happy that Rojo asked Rupp to comment about Gambetta. While "Are you micro doping?" is a valid question, I just do not think it is suitable for a post-race interview. It's too inflammatory. I don't see anything good coming from asking such a question.
Maybe better environments is pre-race press conferences, where athletes can give perspective about doping and such. I view those as more open-ended, with questions not being constrained to things solely about a race that just happened.
