We all have regrets and have learned from them. My question is what would you do differently if you could?

Not give a f*** what other 16 year olds think.
If I were 16 and knew what I know now, at least about myself:
1. I'd do the old RCAF exercises six days a week, probably alternating between the 5BX and the XBX routines. (And maybe substituting chins for the back exercises they specify.)
2. Avoid playing basketball, from which I got the first of my permanent injuries.
3. Probably end up at the same college--but I might apply to HYP just for the grins, so I could say I turned them down, too.
4. Remember that people seemed to like me more, the less I said.
5. Definitely go to the same NSF summer program (at NAU) before senior year, but take real advantage of it this time.
6. Just for a goof, maybe spend the fall semester of my senior year Stateside--as a visiting student at York HS (that was the season the was immortalized in the book The Long Green Line).
7. Do a lot of running, but also a lot of other stuff to prevent the injuries that made me an ex-runner before I was 21.
I would lower my standards for girls and actively seek out and gain experience with relationships.
thankfully I lost my virginity before I graduated, but I had plenty of mostly younger girls approach me during my junior and senior year who looking back would have been easy pickings if I had just gone along with it. My standards were too high due to my lack of experience with women and fear of being judged by my friends, and I was also very focused on both my running and academics at the time.
In Jr High I should have studied for High school instead of partying, taking LSD, and smoking weed. I didn't go to high school. I should have and studied hard for college life. Instead I went into the Crotch (aka USMC) for 4 years. Luckily it was during peacetime. In the Crotch I got beaten during training 6 times over a 4 year period. I spent a total of 4 months in the Naval Hospital. NO BAD TIME. I weaseled my way and got out 3 months shy of 4 years to go to Junior College. To survive the torture of the Crotch is an experience you wouldn't like.
Have sex with more 16 year olds.
1. Join the track and XC teams (didn't join til I was 17)
2. Not be a pansy and actually talk to girls.
3. Skip auditioning for Juilliard.
4. Take more AP classes
I think that's about it.

1) Not ditz around for two years in college making the path to med school significantly harder
2) Give less fvcks in MS/HS about how people would perceive me and not worrying about being perceived as weird
3) Not ignore my short game when practicing golf
4) Not wait till college to get interested in running
5) Not gain 50 lbs in HS freshman year by eating 3 slices of pizza, 2 large fries, 2 sodas, and 3+ pack of zebra cakes every day at lunch in HS
6) Not wait until college to realize that nothing bad happens if you talk to women or even if they reject you
Basically nothing major. My life so far as been pretty dam awesome. A few things could have been better but I don't really have any major complaints.
I would focus my energy on the Stock market. Be the 1% and live the luxury life that I deserve.
I would train the way I know how to now, and probably make it professionally. I had the talent but got off track for far too long.

Not date the same girl all through HS. She was hot, but there were plenty of others. I would do everything else the exact same. I am one of those d-bags that loved every second of HS. I wouldn't say that I "peaked" though. Life is still pretty d*mn good despite my paltry salary.
Mike- go to bed with another woman. I'm covered because D is going to come get in my bed.
Fixed. Night.
Take fewer honors/AP classes and chill out a bit more.
I'd just off myself.
That's what I thought. Why don't you keep your raps and stop protecting me from your real world.
stop protecting your real world from me.
Fixed

I would have worked harder at understanding math better.
I've always had a passion for science, but my poor math scores held me back there and kept me from majoring in a science field in college. All other aspects of school came easy to me except for the math, and I told myself I just didn't have ability there...well, I know now that it was just an area I could have worked harder in to fully get. I do believe that some people have an aptitude for math while others don't, but I also NOW believe that if you want to understand math well enough to get a science-related degree, that you just need to study it more.
That's pretty much it.
-Been realistic about my level of running talent and placed less importance on running.
-Made work my #1 priority
-Not gone to college
