This is correct. Has nothing to do with him being "smooth". He was just a nice kid being nice to the vocal girls who wanted a baseball. If a three-year-old boy had been right there, he would have given that ball to him.
The SHAME goes to the stupid headline of the story insinuating that that kid was trying to be "smooth".
Nice theory. You are totally speculating though. "Vocal girls?" Did I miss that part of the video? LOL. And though there isn't much video evidence, I'd say it supports the "being smooth" theory more than your theory with zero evidence.
The video clearly shows 2 other young men standing WITH GLOVES, clearly wanting game balls, standing directly to this kid's left. She, however is one of the cutest girls in his immediate vicinity. Just the facts.
Also, look at the guy in red's reaction. And the kid in the striped shirt next to the guy in red (at 0:30 in the video crossing his hands over his chest). I think they would have a better idea than you.
In what world is the striped shirt kid's crossing both hands over his chest not a "i'm in love" sign? Is that a "you're just being nice" sign?
Less clear is whether the "generous kid" and his buddy to his left are doing the "smoothing the hair" - "I'm slick" hand motion around the 0:13 mark. The smooth kid's is hard to determine, but his buddy's looks like it.
Please let me know where I missed in the video the girls being "vocal".
