I think that Dallas is going to trade up to get either Carr or Garoppolo. Garoppolo would be a great teammate for Romo as they both went to the same college .. Eastern Illinois
Johnny Football + Cleveland Browns = Super Bowl!!!!!
That's right, the Browns are now the team to beat. You can put that in the bank and watch it gain interest. Put a fork in the rest of the league, they are done!!!

In Russia we used to make fun of Cleveland.
Well done sir.
He has that "je ne sais quoi" that (certain) fans insist on wildly overvaluing, as an important quality for being good at NFL football. These fans make wonderful people to wager with.

Manziel can play. I live in Dallas, where Romo had back surgery and yet Jerry stupidly passed on Johnny. GMs, a conservative bunch, were afraid to draft Manziel. He has that je ne sais quoi that can't be taught. Montana had it; Tarkenton had it. Watch replays of A&M games. Mike Evans is good, too. A&M tried to get out of a home-and-home with my Ducks and karma will punish them.
I'm not saying J Football will be a good pro, but I will damn sure tune in on Sundays to watch the Browns.
If he doesn't stay in the NFL, he has a future in MLB.. No kidding.
Manziel would get 1/8 of the hype if he were black.
I wonder if he can call "psych" and return to school. "I changed my mind and want to attend med school in TX so I'm retuning to academics."

If you replace "1/8" of with "double" then you would be correct.
I wish Dallas had drafted Manziel. I think Jerry Jones would have seen this as a rebuilding step and Jerry isn't able to admit that signing Romo to a $108 million contract was a huge mistake.
Don't get me wrong. Romo is a great QB. I love/hate watching him play, but lacks that special something to be at the next level with Brady, Manning, etc. More to the point, I think Romo's days are numbered.
Spring 2013 back surgery, allegedly for a "cyst"
Game 1, first half: Injured
Game 15: Injured
Early 2014: Back surgery
The karma wasn't being 22nd that just shows disrespect by the teams the best part was going to the browns and that was just good luck.

The NFL draft is more about genetics than it is about assessing a college player's skills. The top draft spots go to people who are genetically gifted and have size, strength and speed that meet what team owners consider to be key to success in the NFL. Bortles gets picked third because he is tall, big and fast. His college credentials are decent, but not as good as Manziel. Manziel and Bridgewater go much later because Manziel is too small and Bridgewater is built more like a shooting guard (doesn't crack 200 lbs soaking wet). Conventional wisdom in the NFL right now is that QBs need to all be built like Colin Kaepernick. Bortles is the only one in the draft who is.
+1
My Dad taught at a prep school where the teaches have to coach and he was assistant football coach. He told me a story that's stuck with me. The coach loved the prototypical quarterback who "made all the throws" but my Dad favored a guy with a weaker arm, but who was a star midfielder on the lacrosse team. Eventually the lacrosse player got the starting job and he dominated. The primary attribute of a good quarterback is that Wayne Gretzky sixth sense of "I don't skate to the puck; I skate to where the puck is going to be." Combines don't measure that.
Having said that, Manziel may still fail in the NFL because he may be too much of a risk taker.

Why so angry? Did Johnny screw your girlfriend? He did, didn't he?
Johnny Football cares about money, not his girlfriend, or her twat.
The good news is that hes only a short plane ride from quite a few CFL teams.
Oh and when the dust settles, Doug Flutie was MUCH better.

Johnny Futbawl can easily take a fairy ride across Lake Erie. The Hamilton Tigger Cats are a short rental car ride away from landfall.
He was the 2nd QB drafted, right? Hardly a tragedy.
So he only makes $8 million a year instead of $12 million Gosh, how crushing.
Actually, $8M over four years vs $22M. Manziel was thrown for a $14M loss.
JOHNNY FLOP'S best receiver facing one year suspension for positive drug test. Those fake replacement clowns are a joke.
Any Brady Quinn groupies still around?

Tim Tebow couldn't play for shit either, but his marketability as a personality is why he is still making money in/around football. Johnny Manziel is the same type of guy.
Nonsense. Tebow cannot play; Johnny Football can
