With flotracks most recent announcement, all the penn relays videos will be ONLY on demand on flotrack pro, and not available for later viewing as was the case with most videos. Why is this a bad thing you may ask? Because flotrack has slowly but surely been limiting their content to flopro members only while excluding the general public. In the coming months look for workout videos, and interviews to be limited to flotrack as well, hidden behind a paywall. Futhermore, to those who say "they need to get paid, its a buisness" that it may be however they are PROFITING off the performance of college and high school athletes and buying the rights to broadcast meets that were originally free (last year penn relays had a documented free stream of all their races, as did some other meets that they chose to "cover" this year). The price range for flopro is absurd. NO HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE ATHLETE SHOULD BE PAYING 100+ DOLLARS A YEAR TO WATCH THEIR OWN RACES. Even NCAA basketball is free online yet track athletes have to pay to watch their own races? Insulting. Do whats right for the sport flotrack and make the races able to be seen at a later date. Stop making money off the lowest of the low in our sport, young kids who are dreaming of becoming good runners.
