He's simply trying to tell you that he'll be "ready to deliver" when pigs fly.

RYAN HALL IS GOING TO WIN THE NYC MARATHON FOLKS. RYAN HALL JUST THREW DOWN A 4:32 25TH MILE. MY GOD RYAN HALL IS GOING TO DO IT. HE CONTINUES TO PUT DISTANCE BETWEEN HIMSELF AND THE REST OF THE FIELD. MEB IS NO WHERE TO BE SEEN. RYAN MF HALL IS GOING TO DO IT. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
I'm impressed with Ryan Hall. He's learned from his training errors, gained the perspective he needs, opened up to new experiences and is headed back to the top. His podcast interview should be mandatory for anyone interested in developing elite US distance runners.
Maybe he cruised at Boston with every intention of getting back to racing ASAP and minimizing down time. No reason to go flat out until he is ready.
I heard he is going to do the centipede with the other Asics crew? Is that true?
"I'll be commentating my first race at the flying pig marathon in Cincinnati, and running the 10k as a workout the day before"
From Hall's Facebook. No delivering here lol

Why does he feel so confident to state that he is "ready to deliver", despite his Boston result?
The interview was actually quite interesting, but no, you're obsessed with taking that one line from the topic literally. Maybe if you actually listened to it you wouldn't be so confused all the time.
PS the "ready to deliver" line was from the OP not Hall.

So glad to see Ryan racing and training. Can't wait for his return to the top. Btw not sure why so many people mock a 2:04 under any conditions, let alone a tough course like Boston. At any rate, can't wait to see you back on the roads, Ryan!

It'd be fun to see him turn road whore ala Tegenkamp, even if he never again runs at his previous level.
Road whore? How many road races has Tegenkamp run?
You are aware he waited until he was 31 before he tried the roads?
The runner is often the last to realize that their best years are behind them. Gotta hand it to him for trying to keep the dream alive.
Last time he was at Bolder Boulder he was waving to the crowd like he was winning the race. Of course he had his A## handed to him badly that day. When he got into the stadium
the top runners were chatting to the media already. I would rather see a team of top local racing hard than to have Hall on a USA team, only to have another so so run.
Yeah the only thing Ryan Hall is ready to deliver is pizzas. That dude is so washed up, he doesn't even need to go to the laundromat anymore.
Lmfao! Good one, man! That's gold, Jerry! GOLD!

Do you have access to his training log these past few months? Did you listen to his interview? Sounds to me that you're clueless and just feel like bashing for the sake of bashing.
I am not longer sure if Ryan Hall is in touch with reality at any time - before, during or after a race.
Honest question: how many good results has Hall had in races shorter than a half marathon, since 2006?

Re-read our posts and then let me know who the idiot is.
God's will be done.
I love it that so many dbs are noting their (probably fake) prs on this thread -- we had a 33 min guy, then a 31 min guy ("see you at the start!") then another 33 min guy...nobody asked but the times were offered. I'm a 32:10 guy (or am I?), so I should be right in the mix...see you guys at the warm up area!
Ryan Hall's easy run aside, this could be a great battle of the LetsRunners. 3 of you with similar PRs all in the race, probably going for the win. Is any media outlet covering this?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
