This clip below reminded us of Vitale as well the soccer guy Andres Cantor.
The clip comes from the recently concluded CARIFA champs.
Quite honestly, we loved it and much prefer it to what we get in the US. What say you?

THAT WAS AMAZING. Seriously, does anyone know that guys name?
Wasn't there a guy named Vic in the 80's/90's who was the radio voice of track and field? Some 1-800 number for all the Euro meets. He was a stud.
Wait, I've seen videos of the Johnson brothers doing interviews. Genius. Every running event should be announced by these talented fellows.

Vic Holcheck was indeed a legend. The beauty of that is it was way more exciting than an actual track meet. Track is about the anticipation:

Better yet, post wejo's.
Boy there were a lot of words in this that I didn't quite catch
WOW!!! A video embedded in a msg board post! What a concept. What will technology dream up next!
I honestly understood almost nothing that was said in that video, with the exception of the fat white guy reporting from the track with an American accent.
How are the Caribbean accents sooo much different from an American accent? I could pretty much only understand the words "Jamaica," and "meters" when the announcer was speaking.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
