Standing 1K from the finish and my jaw dropped when I saw Meb go by. I haven't seen finish video yet but he was not being challenged at 41.2.
Dude, this is the day of Web 2.0 We are way ahead of you.
Hall should have run in the women's race.
Uli is just a machine. 22nd overall. Nice.
Desi ran a solid race. Happy for her.
BUT WOULD HE HAVE BEATEN CHESEREK??!?!
I was watching sportscenter and they said Meb finished in 2:01:59, how did ESPN get that far off?

Yeah, shocking that a 2:23 only gets you 10th place today.

Not very knowledgeable, are you?
So I looked it up (link here:
http://www.alltime-athletics.com/wmaraok.htm), and I was off by 3 people, but still, very few women have broken 2:19 (5 total). Does anyone think anyone has done it on a harder course than Boston? That's crazy to me to do it in Boston. There wasn't much of a tailwind this year either, like there was in 2011.
I will run proudly in my Skechers today.

I saw that too and in my excitement texted a few people about the insane time, before remembering it was coming from ESPN and there was no way it could accurate.
Yeah Meb!

Is there anyway you can get your money back from this shit?

This is true. Until it is extended again after NYC.
Poor guy. Glad he finished. His 35-40k split was 17:34... Jeptoo's was 15:44. Dude BLEW UP. (and she's a bada$$)
Anytime you hear someone comparing road running to cycling you know you can stop listening. The pack in a road race can't "reel in" someone with a big lead the way the peleton does in cycling. Nor do they think they can, for that matter. The chase groups in a marathon don't sit there calculating how many seconds/mile they can make up on a breakaway. Anyone who doesn't understand this misunderstands both sports!

While some on tv are amazed by it. the guy behind me in the press room is a VERY well connecte person in the sport laughed and said, "It's like the Tour de France. They are the domestiques. The big guys don't care. We're taking bets here as to how many minutes they (meb and boit) finish bheind the leaders)."
