Lol, Abdi is great...
Reporter: There are seven guys going in who have run sub-2:05.
Abdi: 2:05 – what is that, are they going to run that on Monday?
Abdi tells disbelieving reporter he wants to be on the podium: "Why not? l'll give it my best shot. I'm gonna swing!"

Isn't he now up to two training partners who have tested positive for drugs?

Abdi reminds me a little bit of Martin Crane on that show Frasier.

I love Abdi, great positive attitude, funny guy, and a gamer, always giving the big names a go. I hope he doesn't try to lead too much early, I'd like to see him in the mix later when things get serious.

Calling Alex Lohr a "reporter" is a bit of a stretch dontcha think ?
-
Alex Lohr is an idiot. Over the top histrionics, hyperbole, and vapid analysis- He makes Dwight Stones seem like an expert.

Abdi is the man

LOL, just read the article that pretends to break down the "odds" of a US win. Total trash. Before you read it, remember this is coming from the same guys who claimed that Nate Silver was wrong and predicted Mitt Romney to win.

It is all talk. In 2005 the saturday before Chicago I bumped into Alan Culpepper. He talks about how great every thing is going and how he thinks he can be in the mix of things. I am sitting in the press conference after the race and Culpepper says he has been sick and it messed up his training and that was the reason for running 2:13 Point is do not trust anything they say. These press conferences are all for show create some buzz.
I want Abdi to run well Monday. There seems to be no indication though that at 37 and 10 years removed from his 2:08 marathon pr that he is going to be able to run with a bunch of 2:05 guys.
