Really? The eurosport guys just announced 28:59 10k
Anyone think the London organizers actually paid Geb to take the pace out faster than what was prescribed/asked for (4:36 first mile)? I wonder if the fix is in and Geb is gonna burn the front runners early, paving the way for a Mo victory.
10k split 29:11
1:01:30 / 2:03:00 pace
Dumb, dumb, dumb
At least they've backed off, although not only are they too fast they are uneven 14:21 / 14:50
We SHALL see a death march today.
wither that or they'll get out fast, put in a good gap, ease up, and make Mo work to catch up.

Bloody suicidal. I didn't think Mo could win but now I know he will. The big guys have played into his hands.
Are they last years splits????

Nor is 29min 10km. :)
Not correct.
Makau isn't in it this year, for one thing.

Women
Those 10k splits don't make sense.
Does anyone else think that it would be great to see farah getting run down in the home straight by Jelian? It would make the marathon for me.
The Winner will run a WR, no doubt. Mo will be at least a couple minutes behind.
Please provide updates... LetsRun.com Update: The race begins in a few hours. Remember, the pace groups are 61:45 for top group and 62:15 for Farah, Jeilan, and Stephen Kiprotich. The women are expected to hit 69.15-69.30. More details on pacing here: http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5736184 Streaming info here: http://www.letsrun.com/news/2014/04/2014-london-marathon-streaming-television-information/ Renato Canova posted his thoughts on the race in another thread. It's great insight so we've re-posted it below. Have fun. We'll wake up again before the men's start.:
