I think any of Nijel Amos, Mohammed Aman, Timothy Kitum, and Abubaker Kaki could conceivably get that good...

How sure of this are you?

I didn't mention:
5 1:43.13 Abraham Kipchirchir Rotich 26 JUN 1993 KEN KEN 1 Monaco 20 JUL 2012
6 1:43.40 Leonard Kirwa Kosencha
Top 6 junior performers all-time, all in the last 2 years except Kaki, there's a good stat for you.

That wasn't necessary. This was still in the top 30.

I'm definitely encouraged by Amos & Aman, but those last two seconds are just a little bit difficult to knock off. It'll be interesting to follow those guys, though. For the time being, though, All Hail David Rudisha.
you peopple are thick.
it IS April 1st in Kenya.

I wish that facebook page were a prank. I had no idea what a religious nut he is.
Hopefully it is just a ruse to hide all his pure hate.

It is now, but when the article was posted it was still 9:35 PM on March 31st.

Word on the street is that Rudisha was fed up with the international WADA controls popping up everywhere. It was getting more and more difficult. At some point, stuff like this happens. Is this really what we want?
We should leave the runners alone and let them train.
Yeah man! I'm with you! So what if they're doping? Let 'em run!

I'm not qualified to determine the single greatest race of all time. But yeah, wow, that was a GREAT race!

Another Kenyan shooting star. I called it a week ago on that Dibaba thread.
Even their legnds don't have any staying power. They are a quantity nation. Tons and tons of runners, but they never remain elite for more than a few years.
They have far more athletes than Ethiopia, but Ethiopia develops far more legends.
He was a five-time World Number 1 ranked 800m runner? Not to mention this is a hoax, but still how many titles does one have to win and how many yrs at the top would satisfy you?
Kenyans run for money and to improve their social status. There is nothing wrong with that. If Americans actually needed money and weren't a bunch of spoiled frat d!cks, they would achieve more.Regarding Ethiopia you can't compare their Socialist and all-controlling athletics program with Kenyas. It's like comparing East Germany's hockey team to Canada's.

Francis Rudisha at St. Francis High? Coincidence?
That's a very disturbing image.

this a legit day early. that's breaking all kinds of boundaries. Soon someone will do something like this on March 30th, or April 2nd. Then maybe March 24th. April Fools will soon become a year-round phenomenon and nobody will be able to trust anyone ever.
It's already started
