Got to change the criteria here. People that have completed for another nation should not be eligible.
What area of the United States are you from so that I can be biased against it?

Are you some kind of an idiot? Were you abused as a child so you're full of hatred?
Lagat's 13:18 is a new single age world record for the road 5K. Previously 13:57. Faster than the track record as well (13:30).
FUN FACT: Bernard Lagat is the first American to simultaneously hold the U.S. 5000m track and 5K road records. Congrats, Kip!

Sooo… what you're saying is:
A. that you don't believe that anyone should ever be allowed to take US citizenship?
B. that runners who take US citizenship should not be treated like people in other professions?
C. that you are scared sh%^less by Bernard Lagat?
I'm guessing C.
Another, weepy white-boy suck-azz who generates the required auto-responses. Another knee-jerker to the end who has never taken the time to wonder why he and so many other pasty sissies possess self-hate, and bend over backward so as not to offend certain peoples or ask pointed questions about what's behind some things. LOL. Go on, bask in self satisfaction and pretend you're oh so intelligent. Just the kind of klutz who would grin and cower rather than defend himself, especially against certain people, eh?

So I guess that now that WADA is drug testing people in Kenya more often, the new sexy place to train is Ethiopia.
Maybe. But the "increased" testing in Kenya is actually laughable when compared to what athletes in the US, Europe, Japan etc. go through. The current WADA situation is still loaded with claims and stories of athletes being "away" in another village or city with no phone access and so on. It's all a big joke. Flip side is how people block out the fact that even the bug guns had drop offs in performance once EPO testing became just a little more efficient. See many sub 12:50 5k runs the past several years? How about finishing up a 10K with a sub 13 final 5k? Yeah, but that doesn't mean anything, does it?

That's a really dumb point. That happened in 2003 and that was the only time a 10k race had ever played out like that. That never happened in the 90s when EPO was supposedly being used even more. So your points make no sense.

"cryptic" does not mean: barely comprehensible, poorly written, illogical, *obvious* racist rant. Not even close (look up the "big" words before you use them).
And true does not mean probably 90% wrong.
And "self hate" does not equal: does not hate others for being darker than them. Really, no matter how much try and convince yourself that it does, it really, really, REALLY doesn't.
So change your name from "Cryptic but true" to "Obvious, cliched, racist A-hole full of BS" and you'll be on the $!
You should be thanking COMPETITOR GROUP. They paid for the race coverage and had the stream on the Carlsbad 5000 website.

Thanks to LetsRun for making the live feed of the race available.
Both races were great. Fast first mile followed by a slight uphill and headwind after the first turn. That'll take the starch out of most runners.

Mary Doper ran 1:56/15:06.
Nice pic of Hasay/Grunewald post Carsbad

Hasay was the top 22 year old female! Why is that not getting bigger pub?

And those stories are wrong. There is no place in the world that is exempt from WADA's coverage. Out of competition testing has been everywhere for decades. You don't remember John Ngugi being suspended for refusing a test at his home in Kenya in 1993?
I dont know but he definitely got owned
gotta stop the hype
I'll add that, before the commentators (perhaps in conjunction with the audiovisual technicians) botched the audio with headache inducing too-close-to-the-mic scratchy loud voicing, The Coverage--from the interviews to the races--during the women's race--the video, the commentary--and the interviews with Lagat, Verzbicas, etc.--were great! The cinematography was great during the women's race, too! Even the lady who did the national anthem (before the women's race) gave a nice low-key feeling performance. I think she was retained for a necessary performance before the start of the men's race, which was not as good. Anyway, it was a surprise, the women's race was much more exciting, enjoyable, fulfilling and feel good, imo.

Yeah, seems like a deliberate (and successful) attempt at public relations turnaround. I'm pretty skeptical of most big companies, corporate media, etc. inc. major shoe companies and media corporations involved in T&F, distance running, etc.--but I couldn't keep myself from having a spurt of good will towards COMPETITOR GROUP during my enjoyment of the broadcast (up until, after Bernard Lagat's interview, the video and the commentating quality turned sour).

I call bullshit.
Show me documentation that there is year-round testing in East Africa equal to Americas/Europe/Asia. How often is someone like Rupp tested compared to Mutai, Kiplagat,Rudisha, etc?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
