Hahahaha good one.

She's a stud. She's short but holy smokes does she kick ass. She's kinda cute too.
+1. Seems like she's been around forever.
OK, so flash forward over three years, and I'm wondering, what is this gals deal? She seems like the consummate also-ran on the pro-scene. I don't see her really getting anywhere with this. What would be your next move if you were in her shoes? Just keep slugging along with your middle to back of the pack performances and hope something magically changes? Move up in distance? Hit the road circuit? Get a new coach? She's obviously got a great deal of talent, but I don't know if I'd be satisfied with the way my professional running career was going if it were me. It looks like she's just going through the motions.
I like your advice, Coach.
Arigatou. (It means Thank you).
Of note, she has made a bit of improvement finally this year, but still a long way off from the top U.S. gals.
Overpaid and overhyped.
Sad, but stuck .
She dropped 5 seconds in the 1500m this year to 4:07 June 29.
OK, maybe there's hope yet. I guess stay the course makes sense for now.
Same school and almost the same last name as a very successful miler named Marty...
Love me the Lip...keep it going!
Has already been reached.
Rumor has it she'll be racing in Oompa Loompa face paint real soon
I think a lot of post collegiate runners have a hard time giving up on their dreams and don't know what else to do with their lives if they don't have a useful degree. They all think they're on the brink of some breakthrough. Allie Kieffer is thirty years old with a masters degree and is a part time nanny. Melissa Salerno quit her job a few years back and was begging for money on gofundme to pursue her Olympic dreams. Ashley Higginson had a gofundme account for a similar purpose years back. At least Ashley and Melissa got their lives together and work stable jobs while pursuing running goals on the side, but I have no respect for these B list runners who don't want to be part of the real world and ask others to support their unrealistic dreams.
After four years of stagnation, she has dropped her PR five seconds to 4:07. Good for her.

Kinda a tough call where you draw the line on the "unrealistic" part in some cases. But for those who it's obvious, yes, I agree.
