With all the talk about Lawi getting the triple, don't you think that he could very realistically end up without a single title? Cheserek walked away from him last night and today he has to go against Mac Fleet in the mile and Ed and Parker Stinson in the 3k. This could very well be an Oregon triple instead of a Lawi triple. I know that it would not be as impressive but still deserves attention. Add on top of that the fact that the mens DMR got second last night and they are in title talk right there

Is it your opinion that Oregon is not getting enough attention?

Mac Fleet is the man he won Outdoors no reason to think he won't win indoors as well. Oregon could and probably will have 3 of the top 5-6 in the 3 K as well with Stinson,Cheserek and Dunbar. If Berry can place in the top 4 or so in the 400 the Men of Oregon will be national Champs this year. GO DUCKS

Are you seriously this buttmad at Oregon?
The guy's just talking about how they could potentially be a title contender when they weren't given much of a chance before the meet started. -

What makes you think I'm buttmad about Oregon? I love Oregon. -

Ches will win at least which ever event is first today, but he's f'ed up trying to triple with a mile prelim at altitude. -
Lawi totally burned himself out and after that injury he got during the XC season I really doubt he will be running 13:00 again anytime soon
-
You think Parker Stinson has anything related to a shot against Lawi? I can't see him losing the mile, he's run 3:52 and 3:33 - he's obviously the class of the field. The 3k will be difficult but I can see him winning as well. I don't know what happened last night in the 5
-
Stinson no but Cheserek will beat him in the 5 K as well. And i can't wait to watch Mac Fleet sit on Lawi back and kick it right past him at the end of the mile :)
-
A couple things to consider. I imagine Lawi is looking towards a long summer competing. Albeit there is no world championship. But I suspect he isn't interested in running at a high level now. I mean we know he can run a lot faster than 60 sec for the last 400M off that pace.
Also, he could be looking out for the interests of the team. Why knock himself out to chase Cheserek and put his performance in the other two races at risk when 2nd place is still a lot of points?
If Lawi has three 2nd place finishes are we really going to say Oregon got the better of him? -
How did that Mac fleet thing turn out for you, flopro?

Yeah, Mac made his move 100m too late.
He knew it in his post race comments.
