I still can't believe my coach said that to me.
The more you dwell on it and make it a big deal, the more its going to effect your running. Move past it dude, there's nothing you can do now but continue training hard and putting in the work. It'll make your successes all that much sweeter. Especially once your coach warms up to you for being quicker and you wont even give him the light of day. Trust me. Not worth the mental distress.

I have tried it both ways, and I find that I usually run my best times when I don\'t bring any luggage with me, maybe you should try that.

op what are your long runs like? make sure you keep your luggage light on those days. over packing when you should be taking it easy is a rookie mistake
