You were implying that I was interested in money.... Why should I care if medical facilities want to charge for something that can't be fixed?
They do not do genetic tests to the degree you think. Most cases occur in Sub-Saharan Africa. Do you think genetic testing for something that is patently obvious to someone with half a brain is a top priority there?
There is nothing that can be done about albinism short of sunscreen and eyewear.
Try again.
Dude, you are a nut case. The guy you're fussing with never said half of the things that you just accused him of saying. Just admit you are wrong (you are) so that you both will shut up and get off this thread.

Um, no. He decided to create a fuss based on a statement I made and I indulged him. It makes him happy.

No, I did not create a fuss. You won't admit that you are wrong here.
Let me show you:
You: I don't need to see genes to know that someone is genetically albino
Me: Yes you do. Medical professionals in fact require genetic testing to determine if genes are responsible for the albinism.
You: Medical professionals are half brained because they can't see genes like I can with my bare eyes.
That is a summary and example of your ridiculousness. Please explain how your eyes can see genes but doctors need to do tests in order to arrive at that conclusion. Read this post several times so that you don't reply again with a bunch of nonsense that I never said.
I originally said that I don't need to see a gene to know that an albino can't get a tan.
That is what is called common sense. Get some.
But if this is the highlight of your life, and it appears to be, carry on.

Yes, and what you said originally was wrong. Some albinos can in fact get tans because their albinism is not caused by a gene. How about you try to get some common sense and realize that you can't see genes with your eyes?
How about you stop ignoring the rest of the times when you were wrong also. Like saying that doctors are half brained because they require genetic tests.
Work hard, prove him wrong.
Which form of albinism is not caused by a gene?
How does one observe genes then?

You really don't know how people identify genes? You think that everyone can see genes with their bare eyes like you? Is this what you truly believe?

Wow, has your stupidity finally been cornered. Will this be the time when you finally admit that you are wrong?
You have to answer, not question.

But you don't have to? I asked you several questions before you asked yours and you have yet to answer them. I have no problem with answering questions before asking more, but you must do the same.
So, once again, please explain how your bare eyes can see genes yet medical professionals require genetic tests to do so.

Nope. There's nothing frantic on my end. I've known several albino people in my life so I already know all about albinism. At least as far as this conversation goes.
Of course you do. Of all the disorders I pick you just happen to know several people with it and know all about it. lol.
I knew you couldn't answer though. ;)

There's nothing unbelievable about that. If you live long enough and meet enough people, you will know several people of different disorders. I can in fact answer, but I refuse to until you do because I asked my qiestions first several times and you haven't answered. It does not make sense to start a new conversation without finishing this one.
Now stop avoiding my questions and answer. Why do medical professionals bother using genetic tests when theycould just use their bare eyes like you? This is the only question in my post. Your reply should not contain a response answering any other question because no such question exists.
They do not always use genetic tests. Sometimes they just observe. It is not a necessity. You should know that.

Why 'should' I know that? That's more of your irrelevant response. In fact, your whole post is irrelevant.
Let's try this again: why do they use genetic tests instead of just using their bare eyes to know if the albinism is genetic?
They make what is known as an assumption.
SMJO wrote:

Once again, this is irrelevant. What question are you even answering? You seem to be having trouble with this. Let's try again.
Your response should begin with "To determine if the albinism is actually genetic, doctors use genetic tests instead of their bare eyes because....".
Using your latest irrelevant response, we get "To determine if the albinism is actually genetic, doctors use genetic tests instead of their bare eyes because they make what is known as an assumption". See how that makes no sense?
