10/10 Most of the critics here have never run a world class 3K, much less a quality 3K. Finishing ahead of the top Kenyan and Ethiopian runners, which he did, is quite an accomplishment in any book. Bodes well for Rupp in the Outdoors 10K.

Salazar needs to step in and DQ the top 3 for using dirty race tactics. They used the \"ran faster because we are better\" dirty race tactic against Galen.
Rupp is remarkably consistent. He has finished in the top four in the wc, olympics, and now indoor. I guess the criticism shows he is a victim of his own success. It also shows how far us distance running has come. Ten years ago we would have been estatic at this kind of finish.

This Rup clown is not only lacking STRENGTH ENDURANCE, but because he lacks overall BUFF the other runners are pushing him off from lane 1. Like "hey little boy, play on lane 3 and leave us alone". What Rup lacks understanding is that he will run an easy 50 yards more by being on the outside.
I said it before, it wouldn't hurt him to eat a bit more (mainly healthy animal fats/protein) and weight train a little. This would be an easy fix.

Rupp is surely more of a 10k guy than a 3/5k guy? What made anyone think he would stand a chance of winning against 1500/5000m runners?
His only chance was a very rapid pace , if not from the gun at least from halfway. Once it became clear that he wasn't prepared to make the pace himself his chances of winning disappeared. Given the way the race developed 4th was not a bad result for him. You have to question his mindset going into the race ; did he really think he could win or was he merely trying to nick a medal? His tactics would suggest the later

last 1k for leader was 2:22, which is 3:33 pace, which is ahead of Rupp's pr but Salazar thought he was in 3:48 mile pace last month. But even that last 1k was composed of 52 or 53 for the last 400 plus 1:30 600, which is 4:02 mile pace. If Rupp had run not on the inside but at the outer part of lane 1, which he did for apparently no reason at all in his time trials earlier this year, he would have been in position to go when the break came. And he should have gone and pushed hard from further out, maybe as far as 1k. But he simply does not put himself in position at the front when the kick is starting in any international races. I think he does have the ability right now, just not the mindset.
You have yet to explain how Lomong got so JACKED without x fit.
