Dwayne, very accurate put.

Ok then.
No. Restaurant critics, movie reviewers, ....... , are paid to do what they do because they are good at it.
LetsRunners are horrible at what they do, do not realize just how little they know about running, and not coincidentally, they are not paid for it.
Nice to see Leers mom posts on letsrun.

He did not run stupid. He just was not good enough to win or take top 3 in this field.
Not a smart race. Look above to see explanation.

Why don't you fvck off too? You've never had anything constructive to post ever. You are a waste of breath and your posts are a waste of electrons. You have two options. Leave letsrun and never come back, or start being a constructive poster. If you continue to stay, I will troll the living $hit out of you. I will find every post and troll it, to the best of my ability.

Some of the worst users on LetsRun are the ones who aren't even good at running, but somehow after every race they could have won the race with their expert tactics.
Oh, so we are not suppose to analyze professional track athletes and how they compete?
Man, the sport won't go far with that attitude. OK let's all go watch baseball, football and basketball as the pro athletes in track can't take any criticism.
Now I remember why I have not logged on to LRC for months -- what's the point, if it descends to namecalling all the time.
I see only three possible explanations for a race like Leer ran.
1. Lack of fitness to handle the early pace
2. Conviction that his kick is so good, he can win or at least medal from way back in last place
3. Total lack of understanding about how a championship race is likely to unfold
I suppose you could add "didn't want to win or medal" but that seems unlikely.
Hardloper, I wouldn't disagree for a second this place is full of idiots that have no idea what they're talking about. But if posting an opinion automatically invalidates that opinion, what does that mean when a professional critic comes to the same conclusion? He's wrong too because I said it first here?
This whole argument is silly.
Anyway, Leer gave himself zero chance of running top 3 today. It was a poor decision on his part, end of story.

I think that 3, is the correct answer.
I think he just didn't have the legs today.
Knowing that he wasn't 100% he used the sit and hope tactic instead of the sit and kick.
His position was fine at 600, he just didn't have the legs to make anything of it.
That's what it looked it like to me. Interesting to hear what he says in interviews.

I think I should be able to criticize their criticism, right? If we can call Leer stupid I can call them stupid?
He lost because of fitness, not tactics. He was losing ground from start to finish, and was losing ground on the last lap.
YOU MAD BRAH?

More good analysis. Didn't he run a strong 3000m in Boston, 7:42? Seems like he is/was fit this year.
Will Will comment on the DQ's during this competition? Surely a few can be questioned.

Is 7:42 supposed to indicate good fitness compared to guys like Souleiman and Iguider? I don't think so. He did a great job to get to the final, something Lomong and Silas Kiplagat couldn't do. Once he got there he didn't have the legs to run with those guys.
On second thought, you amateur analyst armchair genii are correct. He should have gotten right into it from the start...just like Heather Kampf.

First off, I'm a fan of Leer, so maybe I was hoping he was fit enough to be in the mix. Based on recent results I don't think that was totally outside the realm of possibilities. I think many of us who've run races at no matter the level know that when you know you're in the mix, it's amazing how much deeper you're able to dig to stay in the mix. And when he closes in the last 30 like he did, it shows me that indeed it was there today from a fitness standpoint. Not to win, but to contend far better than he did today.

You should follow your own suggestion and never come back here. Trolls ruin this place.
