I have a new ache I have never heard of before: My left knee hurts toward the inside portion (facing the other leg) only, and only when running. Wasn't doing a lot of mileage or anything unusual before it flared up. I took a couple of weeks off and then a full month. No problem biking, elliptical training, even OK playing basketball a time or two during the time away from running. But 5 minutes into the first run back, the pain was the same as it had been a month earlier. Never swells up much, and pain stops as soon as running does.
I'm going to head to a doctor as soon as I can afford it, but in the meantime I am wondering if anyone else here ever had a similar problem. Sounds like a biomechanical problem, but what do I know?
Thanks for any input.
