salty! if she's able to do this, have to think she is near sub4/sub15 shape for 1500/5000 right now.

13x400@65, 10 miles@sub 6:00 pace. I know sub 4 milers that don't do much more than that.
Also apparently at 6500+ feet in Big Bear.
It depends on the rest. When I was a 4:05 1500m runner I would do 12x400 in 63 but took 1:40 rest. When I was a 4:05 MILER I would do 12x400 in 61 but take 50-60 seconds rest. The rest of these workouts look pretty on-par with a runner of her calibre, but it does seem that she is prioritizing intensity with pretty long rests.

Thats some good work for a 1:57 800 runner. If she really does that , she should be a sub 15:00 5k runner.
One of you in every crowd. Sometimes more than one.

Don't be so quick to declare someone else a loser when, in fact, everyone on this thread is focusing on the wrong thing.
What really needs to be acknowledged about B-Mart is that she is a staunch friend and defender of Suzy Hamilton. Can you say birds-of-a-feather? I can think of worse ways to spend $600/hour.

I can say the words 'birds of a feather' but I have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

Do your homework.

SEXY!
I'm surprised she has 3 speed days in a row, seems pretty tough.

Sprinters seem to do fine

To me that was the biggest surprise of the female survey. Perennial early season stalwart/late season bust to world beater, that never seemed right. But she's cute so that's cool by us.

She was talented but poorly prepared, hence the late season busts. She finds coaching that matches her talents and excels. That seems like a pretty straightforward representation of what happened, as likely as anything more sinister.
She hasn't actually done this yet.
had a good friend who ran under coach vigil some time back. their experience w/ coach vigil may be totally diff from ms martinez', so take this with a grain of salt but: when vigil send out a week, or month's worth of workouts, they are often based on what it will take to win a world championship. not necessarily what shape the athlete is in, which is why my friend could never actually do 100% of the listed workouts, rather they would get cut by some percentage (10-20%), or slowed down until they were reasonable enough to finish, and still be able to get up for the following day's workout.
can't explain what the rationale for this was, as my friend didn't understand it either, but that's the way mr vigil always coached. had a casual friend who had the same experience, tho i didn't actually see those sheets (i did see my good friend's sheets, they were just insane. maybe dibaba or el G could ahve done those workouts, but otherwise, nobody could). food for thought, I'm sure ms martinez is rockin some amazing workouts, but I'd be very surprised if she is doing this type of schedule, week in, and week out.
