You keep acting like this is about whether they got the right decision in the end.
That isn't why people are posting about this. The issue is that three times the committee reviewed the decision and did not believe there was grounds for DQ. CLEARLY the committee did not feel the Grunewald had committed an infraction.
Nike steps in, and suddenly the decision is reversed.
Just because the correct decision has been reached in the end does not mean the process by which the result was arrived at was ethical. If this is allowed to happen unnoticed and unchallenged, it opens the door for these things to happen in the future in situations where the correct decision is not reached.
Do you really think it is an acceptable thing for corporations to step in and strong-arm there way into attempting to change the results of the race?
