One thing that makes you a "pro" is that you know the difference between a 66 and a 70. For one thing, everyone is bunched up like mad.Hell, I can feel that kind of pace and I have never made a penny off my legs (which, admittedly,and as a guy, are not as shapely as Emma's).

Stop making things up. The only thing that makes you a pro is that you are making money. If every pro was an expert at knowing exactly how fast they are running on the first lap, then there would never be any need for rabbits. Or at least the pros would never let the rabbits get off pace. But this is obviously not the case considering how often rabbits run too slow but the field doesn't speed up or at least tell the rabbit to speed up.
First of all the OP evidently has no idea what the term "calling people out" refers to. She didn't call anyone out. If had said Cain and Moser requested the rabbit. . .
She did not so the entire post is silly and misleading. And to be turned off by Emma's benign remarks is kind of silly too. Typical LR.

That is why she was frustrated silly. Its becuase the race was slow from the start. BEFORE the race she probably was told the rabbit time and was psyched for a chance at a fast race and possible PR. It became clear after the first 400 that it wasn't going to happen, so she made a move to try to pick up the pace of the pack. AFTER the race she was disappointed it ended up being tactical and not fast. Fair enough.Its not that difficult to understand but let me know if you need everyone to keep explaining this to you :)

Why is it so hard for people to understand this? Her plan A was to be a part of a fast race, she was "looking forward" to being a part of a race where people ran fast with rabbits. By 400m, it was obvious to her and everyone else that a fast time wasn't going to happen. This is where she went to plan B and took the lead to try and make it a faster race. If she wouldn't have taken it the field would have kept running 71s. She had a great plan B to be aggressive and try and get it going.
Why do you treat her like she is a rookie and needs to "learn her craft" and execute under more than one scenario. She did execute in a less than ideal situation that race. She was agressive and had the guts to lead when no one else did. You're talking to her as if your scolding your dog for peeing in the house. Seriously. This girl has experience, remember she is a 2012 Olympic finalist? And outside the steeple he has experience too, remember she won the 2013 NCAA indoor mile and then ran 4:06 outdoors for 1500?
You are all so harsh on her. Get over it. It was an interview where she was honest. With how everyone is reacting to her saying she was "frusterated", you would have thought she said the other F word. Everyone is being dramatic to a simple interview. She doesn't say anything mean or hurtful to anyone and is just honest about her 'frustrations' on how a race played out.

Coburn ran a tactically horrible race. She got off almost last, and spent the first 400 nearly in lane three getting around the field. Gets in front, then does nothing. Kampf even dropped back to help draw them out, and Coburn still follows the 69 first 400 with...another 69.Gutsy? Aggressive? More like weak.
Third 400: she still sits there, with Cain on her shoulder and the entire field up her back, revs it up to...68, still slower than her PR pace. At that point the race was essentially over for her.
When you are a strength-based miler with a poor finish, you don't let that sh!t go down. She should just acknowledge she had a bad race, and leave it at that.
Some of the people posting on this thread have serious issues. Attacking a 23 y/o in her first big race out of college. And first big race after not racing for 8-9 months due to a significant back injury. It's one thing to discuss race strategy and the use of a rabbit it's another thing to personally bash someone. Typical letsrun. Coburns PR is 4:29, what would you like her dot do against someone who is probably 8 or 9 seconds faster? She still finished within 3 seconds of her pr.

probably would be more efficient if they all just ran with no clothes on at all.
I would really like to just take those little orange bottoms and suck the sweat out of em.
