So you favor Houston based on... air quality? LOL

Just curious, how close will the LA conditions and course profile match what they will face in Rio.
If the target race is hilly and 85 degrees, using a flat course in cool weather to pick your team is problematic.
ATL>LAX is one pricey flight
ATL>IAH is much more affordable.
I bet its similar anywhere on the east coast. I was spectating not running at the Oly Trials in Houston; had a great time and ran the next day.
No way I'll spend the $$$$ to fly out to LA and find some super-expensive rental car and hotel.
Plus Tracy Russel burns bridges everywhere she goes. She gets the big win and then gets out... primarily b/c she knows a year after she leaves the $#!% will hit the fan.
So wait,. The USATF voting panel voted 5-0 in favor of Houston, and the CEO over ruled and chose Los Angeles?
And, he claimed it was because they moved their race to February?
It had nothing to do with him receiving 3" thick brown envelope...rigggght

And now thousands of other people get to do the same thing and we don't have to set foot in ugly boring Houston. LA is an awesome city to visit and the weather in February is great for both running and spectating. It's a great choice of venue and I'm definitely going to be there.

Right, because hosting the Marathon Trials is such a huge deal for a city like Los Angeles that people are willing to commit a federal crime to get it. I mean, what else do they have going on there?
I think that tinfoil hat of yours might be a little too tight.
Just looked up the course certification map - the southern end of the repeated 6 mile "loop" is insane with the number of turns:

RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
