There are lots of old laws on the books that aren't enforced and constitutionally probably can't be enforced, and adultery laws are one of them (like consensual sodomy, etc). Legislators just never get around to cleaning up laws like that because someone would then claim they are in favor of adultery, sodomy, etc.
I think the only time you would ever see anyone actually charged with adultery in the last 50 years is when they are charged for something else and prosecutors pile on with archaic charges. I'd like to see any examples of anyone actually convicted and doing time for adultery in the US in the last 50 years because I doubt there are any, although there are some cases of people in the military being punished in the military system.
Anyhow, no one is charging SFH criminally with adultery or prostitution, so I don't see how this thread got so far off track. I'm glad to see SFH doing alright in her life. She was a great runner and always seemed like a nice person.
