I am at an average level of skepticism about world record level performances but this is hilarious. This clay Mayes iii dude claims Solinsky and Teg saw Rupp inject ADRENALINE before the Olympic 10k. Like in pulp fiction, straight to the heart? Who knew, it's not thyroid meds or micro dosing but motherfvcking adrenaline injections in the locker room of the Olympic stadium. How have we been so blind?!

"@ryanpoland1 @TurnBurn78 Ask Solinsky... Or ask what Teg saw before the Olympic 10000m— Clay J. Mayes III (@ClayJMayesIII) January 27, 2014"
The elites either need to tell all that they know, or stop with the passive aggressive insinuations.

He is/was a pretty popular poster on the old Dyestat, a goofbal but not really a nutcase... sounds more like a joke to me than anything else.
Does anyone actually believe that Rupp did an adrenaline shot right before the Olympics? Honestly?
I love when people say I personally spoke with Salazar and he said they don't take drugs.
Really? Do you think he is just going to open up and say yes they are doping?
Not saying they are doping or not but this is the worst defense I've ever heard.
But like history has showed with all greats, they shouldn't be trusted. And if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

There are currently tons of stories out there. Much like Lance. Their were also many stories about Alberto back in the 80's as an athlete. The bigger the fish, the bigger the fight and the harder to reel in.
Yes, there have been some "stories" about Alberto back in the day and a lot of innuendo regarding NOP, but nothing compared to the information regarding Lance. In Lance's case, there were multiple people (Emma Roberts, Mike Anderson, Stephen Swart) who spoke out years before the USADA decision or Lance's confession. No one has come forward with information on the NOP. Although I understand the suspicion regarding NOP, it's nowhere near the same as Lance and USPS cycling team.
It's comical to read Lindgren's comments on Virgin's FB page regarding the unbelievability of Rupp's workout yet hasn't Lindgren claimed to have run 4 miles in 16:08 or something like that?

Lindgren on believability is awesome!
I just read Virgin's post. I must be out of the loop. I didn't realize that Rupp was taking undisclosed theraputic meds. How many other NOP are also listed as doing the same?
Virgin believes he was the peak of possibility when it comes to American distance running. Anyone faster than him while he was running or now was/is doping. As far as Virgin is concerned it's not possible to have a time faster than him and be clean at the same time.
The adrenaline story resurfaces....
scroll down and its mentioned at the games with Farrah.

And why was Solinsky, who didn't even run the Olympic Trials, in the holding area before the Olympic 10K?
If this is true, this could end up a disaster for the sport.

The Gouchers know. Magness knows. Will they ever talk? Who knows...
You know what is funny if a Kenyan, or Ethopian runner did the same thing people would be on this site claiming that is why they are so much better than the Americans. They are tougher, and work harder. Reverse that and they must be doping. Elite American runners can't win in the world of lets run.
It's the speculation about the success of our own athletes that brings down our sport. Rather than supporting our athletes, we question them. If they don't succeed, we get angry and question our training philosophies. If they do succeed, we think they're cheating. NOP is probably one of the few teams out there that have made it a clear point to be the best team not in the US but the world. These workouts are "unheard of" (I put that in quotes, because most collegiate athletes are now implementing that into their own training as well) only because the world of track is changing- Flotrack is paving the way to open the world of track to the public. They're making athletes into superstars... fans now WANT to see them do these workouts. It's great for the sport. Now, the reason this workout is so amazing is becasue no one has ever recorded an athlete of his caliber complete an entire workout.. usually they do it in secret and don't allow any publicity of any sort (which is terrible for the sport). Do you honestly think Kenenisa Bekele or Haile Gebrselassie couldn't do that workout in their time? These guys closed 10 RACES in sub 4. Last week, we saw Galen have to cut his workout short. What's more human than that? Sure, now that everyone is talking about it, eveyrone thinks they're doping. But lets do it in a way that we can support the athletes that are trying to make it here.
Beanpatch FTW.
Rupp's a winner. Flotrack's a winner. We got to become winners.
Magness isn't. Sometimes its not all about science. I was a fan of his in HS as he approached the 4 minute threshold w/ all his 100 mile weeks and workouts posted. But he, nor his athletes, have the capabilities of Rupp. Didn't in HS, don't now.
Fam is nuts. I think we were all fans of Fams rebelliousness, but enough is enough. Maybe eating shitty food and running through NYC doesn't have its impact on one or two seasons, but it's not gonna give you the world class opportunities akin to Rupp's training.
Doesn't stop with those guys, though.
Seems like there are a bunch of loathing, turning into self-loathing athletes on Twitter. People at that elite level, but not world class like Rupp.
Look at former Ivy Leaguer Erik Van Ingen's career and reactions to Rupp on Twitter. He gets dropped by Nike out west and then blames everyone else. Now criticizing Rupp.
These elite but not world class guys should man up and get real jobs like that guy Gilland who paced Rupp. Working like all us fanboys and still getting after that sub 4, like we all dream of. Not complaining one bit. Happy to be a part of this running story.
I used to read these message boards under the assumption that it was informed and knowledgable posters peppered with idiots. I now think anonymity kills letsrun and crazy/dumb/sensational posters drown out the goods ones.
If you suggest Rupp's postrace workout is evidence of doping you know little about the sport. There is a long precedent for postrace workouts, even the specific workout he did. Closing in 4:01, in context, isn't inconceivable.
In the many, many years of Rupp's success and the NOP the only concrete reasons for suspiscion are their absolute times and Salazar's shady past. No A samples, whistleblowers, disgruntled athletes, etc. People keep comparing Rupp to Armstrong when there is no comparison. 99.9% of America has never heard of Rupp. Hell, a majority of nike employees probably haven't heard of Rupp. There is no incentive, no consipiracy. After all the strides U.S distance running has made it is still DISTANCE RUNNING. Nike isn't even in the top 3 for specialty running brands. Lance was HUGE and there were many parties invested in his success - plus testing has come a long way in the decade since, in large part due to Lance.
I won't pretend to be an "insider", but I have friends at every level of the sport - including with Schumacher's group. I've heard interesting rumors about athlete's through the years but I haven't heard a single questionable thing about the NOP. It's fine to be cautious, but half the people on here are 100% convinced Rupp is cheating, essentially, because he is fast.

"Rupp takes adrenaline shots before races in case he has an asthma attack. He doesn't even have severe asthma and he injects the shots into his legs, not the appropriate area which is his neck. "

3. Good job

What about the visits to the doctor in Utah who is an authority on EPO? That is not questionable?
Magness is a nobody. He doesn't know anything and hasn't really said anything.
The Gouchers are bitter with Salazar about Adam's career. KG had nothing bad to say about Salazar when she was in the NOP. But the Schumacher group probably got in her head with all the jealousy/bickering. She's an idiot.
Fam doesn't know anything.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
