He is going to pack on another 10lbs of muscle from swimming and biking. That is going to make it hard to come back and be a decent distance guy.
look at the pic at the top of the blog post.. he's already got way too much muscle for a runner, it's not possible to have pecs like that from running. If he can resist the temptation to do all that gym work he could be a fine triathlete. In ITU it's key to be able to hang with the front swimmers and make the first pack on the bike, and Alan has the swim speed for that. I look forward to his tri career, just hope he can settle down to consistent training..
