This was probably a case like Jason Hartmann, who dropped out of the NYC marathon and got on one of the carts. His chip kept registering at all the checkpoints and he ended up showing some sub-5:00 pace splits all the way to the finish even though he was running much slower that before he dropped out. His result was eventually deleted.
That doesn't explain why Dghoughi's name was removed from
the official results.
Yes it does - the exact same thing happened to Hartman. He was in the results with a couple unbelievable splits, and then later deleted.
