I was a fan at Okla City when Joe did that amazing double - when I got home and watched to recording on TV; the announcer (I believe it was Liquori), criticized Joe for doing that with the fist, etc. but I think that he kind of missed to boat on the emotion of clinching the team competition. It was memorable!!!

If we're including sprinters I'd say Tyson Gay. World champion at 100m and 200m (and 4x100m?), many time USA champion, #2 all time at 100m, and somewhere around there at 200m also. Also a class act.

I was thinking of this on my own and the realized there was w thread on it. If John M. was alive today, who do you think his top ten pure talented guys would be (I'm talking raw talent and not accomplishments?) He coached there a long time, so he saw some amazing guys.

I heard a lot of stories, but always wondered if they were true. I remember seeing them at meets during the programs prime and those guys were like GODS to me.
