Neighbor ran a good for a fitness runner 3:44:56 marathon. When I referred to her casually as a 3:45 marathoner she got all up in my face about being a 3:44 marathoner. I don't think there is anything materially different between a 3:44 marathon, a 3:45 marathon and a 3;46 marathon. 3:43>47 even.At that pace you're pretty much running in a pack and things like optimizing tangents not slowing for water stops, being boxed in blah blah, you know the things runners and racers think about, are not in the mix.

I have no idea why folks insist on saying a time is 4:02 or a lower number when it is closer to the next second? Drives me nuts, a short drive by the way.
Joe Rosa who is hardly thought of as a a miler, beat him..Great race for Joe, really, a huge PR right out of the box and he was injured all cross.
