It's not a hard school to get into, and it's very inexpensive, easily the best deal in the state. I'd still guess a bit tougher to get into than FAMU. Mostly in state kids there.
Guessing most TN distance kids go to Belmont, UT or Chattanooga.
Tech will be hard pressed to get in state talent.

Can't keep "The Wayner" down for long!

Belmont and UTC yes. TWC, MTSU, and ETSU yes.
UTK no, not at all.
The best in-state talent is generally going out of state.
What school is TWC?
Who is Tennessee going after for last position?

Very doubtful TWC is a distance powerhouse in the state!
Actually TWC has made huge leaps after they hired a new coach. Had 1 under 25 and 6 under 26:00 according to their website and 2 athletes making the 5k finals indoors in the NAIA national meet. Went from never having a team at NAIA nationals to finishing 17th last year and according to their roster they have everyone coming back. Not a powerhouse compared to some of the bigger schools but very very good for a small NAIA school. They don't have the background as some of these other schools but they are a upcoming program for sure.
Where did Georgia State coach go, and why are they looking for jumps and throws? Arent the odds of finding someone to do both pretty slim and hopeful?

The best in state talent recently has gone to...
NC State (a load of them)
Duke
Georgia
Arkansas (again, a load)
Ole Miss
UVA
TAMU
Shawn J has done a decent job pretty quick at TWC. Wouldn't be surprised if he moves up soon. Other side is, conference isn't very deep and Bryan is the only consistently decent squad there. Plus, rumor is his kids aren't very bright academically. And TWC has a ton of money so I bet he's fully funded there. Still, TWC has grown very quickly.
Belmont, UTC, UTK, ETSU, Memphis, TWC, MTSU???? Umm, didn't Lipscomb men and women beat every Collegiate XC team in the state of TN last year? And by "top dist talent in TN" you mean 2 kids a year at best with decent times?
I do believe that Angel will be implementing a handful of foreigners on this years roster. Who they are, where they are from, and how many is unknown. Guess if you can't get in state, go out of country. One way to do it.

Yes, you're right, I totally forgot about Libscomb. It's only been in the last couple of years that they've moved up as much as they have, especially on the women's side.
I think you make a good point. From what I observed about Angels
teams at FAMU, they all seemed to be Kenyans or Africans of some
sort. I don't remember seeing any Floridians. I'm sure that will change now
That he is at a predominantly white school. I look for his recruiting
to be more global in nature. He had kids from all over the world when
he was at Wichita.
