This would be strange? Unless Drew took another position. Definitely curious.
What happened to the post about UNC Asheville coach "resigning"??
Read the two press releases. Saw both have ties to Eastern Illinois. Read head coach bio...He has ties to EIU as well. Pretty original hiring!?! Go with what you know, right? Maybe they can get the EIU throws coach to complete the staff?

the day I become a head coach I will be sure to hire the best qualified over people I know. I want to win championships not be friends.

stepping down...
Going to coach Conley and his other girls in Davis.
This has been rumored about for a while.
I've heard this rumor as well. Drew is a good coach. Would be unfortunate for college track & field to see him out of college coaching.
Hope it is not true Drew!
Sources say Drew stepped down to start a new post collegiant training group called Nor Cal Distance Project.
Who is Beth bringing in?
At the end of the day, the most important factor in hiring assistants is TRUST. Hire people you know...
Loyalty is most important attribute when hiring assistant coaches.
A head coach doesn't need assistants undermining or backstabbing them.

Since I think it was in error, I hope it got deleted somehow. I don't think Norman is going anywhere.
Looks like she kept a great throws coach and the administration protected a rat who hasn't done anything but rat on anyone and everyone that he could. The saga continues at Tennessee. It is ironic that there is nothing from the men alums who were so vocal about not wanting JJ now that their storied program has been turn over to a woman who has by the way had a horrible showing for mens team in the Big10.
Tenn girl: get over it. JJ was terrible. His whole staff knew it. Everyone on campus knew it. He was lucky to hang around 5 years. People around town it knew after his 1st 6 months... it would never work. He lived off his name and women's team record. He told recruits he did not even want the men's job. That is a fact. He said he was almost forced to take it. No clue how to lead people and muzzled his staff. Rodney should have just been patient but I think he is too competitive to watch things continue down the tubes while he sat around clueless. Tennessee will rebound quickly now that he's out and the power of the T can return. Watch and see.
Any of the D3 die hards know what is going on with the Berg?
She is going after Tim at Kentucky very unlikely that he will go since he turned it down last year. Look to see Chris from Arkansas with the promise of naming him Associate Head. Either will be good hires.
Could go very poorly for the Vols if BAS does not get a sprint coach that can pull 50 points. The throws will remain the same with the same coach - decent but not great. Between throws and vault they can get about 30 points. They will not improve much in the distance but I will give the 15 points being generous in 3-4 years. Needs a strong jumps coach - maybe sprints/ jumps combo or this isn't going to be pretty.
What's the word in the Midwest? A lot of big openings, Missouri, Iowa, Michigan...
You have to give the throws coach another year or two before you make a judgement, he's been there 1 year.
Iowa filled-

Another article on their website makes it sounds like they will retain current coaches and look for asst sprints/recruiting coordinator and director of ops.
