He coached Tim Nedow as well and switched him from a multi to a 20m shot putter. DePaul doesn't have any facilities, as in they practice at a high school

Anyone know anything about the jobs at Maine?
I haven't heard anything but I assume it's not the most sought out job out there.
Asking around no one has heard anything. I'm guessing they are waiting until after the July 4th holiday to start contacting people. Unless someone has heard different?
There were rumors all year that Auburn was making changes. Anymore on that?

depaul has produced plenty of throws all americans recently - leave the guy alone - the throwers there have been the strength of the program recently - hitting a lul at depaul is forgivable
In his 15 year career as a coach - Murer has coached TWO All Americans. One of which was in 2002, not sure how one all american at Depaul qualifies as "producing plenty of throws all americans recently" besides anyone who says that anything other than the sprints are Depaul's strength doesn't know TF very well.
I can't really say confidentially either way, but once again it's DePaul. Very limited resources as far as scholarship money and absolutely zero facilities.
Where does this leave Amy Yoder?

The deal was that any coach hired was to retain Amy
Yoder was rumored to be going to Wisconsin, but the Wichita State throws guy was supposedly going to be the head at Uconn so who know what to believe anymore.

Most of the guys on here don't know what they're talking about.

Horrible idea by the AD. I have seen and been a part of staffs that have had a holdover on staff that have imploded. The holdover feels a little more entitled to special consideration for everything, and sometimes b/c they may have been a part of the hiring decision, they also feel that the new HC/Director is actually beholden TO THEM! It may not rear it's head at first, but sooner or later it comes out and it usually gets ugly. The holdover will go running to the AD for every little thing instead of working it out from within the staff. Sometimes the atheletes will even pick up on it and you have a whole team that becomes split between those who back the new coach and those who support the coach with the most seniority at the school.
This is going to be a disaster.
You only have 3 coaches in a womens only HC program.
You have Begley who can only coach distance.
JJ who is a distance coach.
That means you have 1 full time coach left who they have to hire to cover sprints, jumps, throws?
Not to mention Begley and JJ have completely opposite coaching philosophies of the distance program.
This is a disaster waiting to happen.
Any word on who got the Tenn Tech job?
Sounds like a great topic to discuss in its own thread......
brad wick going to idaho is completely false. he is currently developing sjsu's program and the club program. he also even likes san jose and believes he can bring san jose to level they should be in. he has a great relationship with petersmeyer and watson that he wouldnt leave them.
he's a good coach but he doesnt have the experience to be director or head. he can get those jobs in a few years.
Big news in Iowa for sure. What does this hire do to the two other long time Iowa coaches (Cappos and Anderson) who most certainly wanted the job? Do they stay, and if they do, do they stay happily? And does Woody now pursue a men's distance assistant?
