Why do you expect from the Ohio State Athletic Director ?
He is lucky that he kept his job after the Tressel "free tattoos" violations !

I would be willing to bet a substantial amount of money that the entire men's staff will be wiped out, no matter how good they may be.

So how long will it take for new Director of CC/Track Karen Dennis to fire the men's assistants? As a long-time watcher of college track and field I have to say that hiring Coach Dennis for the combined position is one of the most shocking that I have seen. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know she is a double minority, but it still amazes me they would go that route.
I don't think she was given the position because she's a double minority. She coached the OSU to their 1st big ten championship ever in women's track and field. The men haven't won it since 93 so I think it was the logical choice to hire coach Dennis. She deserves the position.
Who ended up getting the Tenn Tech job?
I saw they posted for assistants already.

and JJ Clark deserved to be the head coach at Tenn but deserving and being qualified can be different things.
jj clark will be a head coach again within no time

Well if it happens it will be soon. I could see her keeping Richardson around. He's been successful in the big 10 in a couple places.
I could see Brice Allen leaving, but I'm not sure Richardson would leave unless fired, he is a good throws coach and that helps Dennis on both sides. The Brice Allen/Sare Vergote, what to do about distance and mid distance will be an interesting question.
If you ask me I say hire a Mid distance coach and let either Allen or vergote coach XC and 3k and up.
Once again 1st championship ever. That makes her more than qualified and the last championship was 2012 so pretty recent. The jj clark comparison doesn't hold up because he hasn't won recently. I do agree that he will have a job pretty soon. I think for the amount of money Osu is looking to spend which historically isn't much, shes the best option. Unless they plan on payiing a big time coach which is about 8 coaches if that.

Allen is interviewing at other places.
No he is not.
He will either stay on or go back to his rich daddy's business.
What on earth has this guy done at OSU that makes him such a slam dunk hire?
Allen is interviewing at other places.[/quote]

any word on the Vols job? who are they considering?
Brian O'Neal from Ole Miss
My buds in Columbus town told me that one coach already reportedly canned at Ohio State, maybe more to come. The Karen Dennis era begins.
Any word on the UNC-Pembroke position? It looks like Coach Aycock retired after only being the head track coach for 2 seasons, he seemed to do pretty well with what he had.
The Gwynedd Mercy University position has opened up

Rumor has it that either Chris Bayless or Felix Moreno will be the new head coach at Delaware Valley College (Div. III)
Willy Wood out at Columbia.
Steps down to go to Tennessee,
let the speculation begin. Scandal anyone?
Willy was awesome

Brian, get off the message board. No one else would say that.
