They got a new men's head coach this year BUT the distance and jumps coach left at the end of the season.

Not if it might be Idaho Coach... May be why they are waiting until after Pac 12's/reunion to announce unfortunetly
Charleston Southern needs to do more than shuffling. They need a new deck to deal from. Just hit with a post season ban for Level 2 APR by NCAA (men).

I am sure that the other Big South schools are proud. Way to go Bucs!
Haha Houghton officially posted on the NCAA site. "Redhanded", how stupid do you feel!!! Lol.
This made me laugh!
Salem College, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the Great South Athletic Conference, invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Basketball, Women’s Cross Country and Track Coach. The successful candidate for this position will oversee all aspects of each program, including but not limited to the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes, budgeting, scheduling, game/meet and practice preparation and individual and team development. A commitment to academic and athletic excellence and adherence to all rules and regulations set forth by Salem College, the Great South Athletic Conference and the NCAA is essential.
Funny thing is I know a pretty good coach that is perfectly qualified for that position. Lol would never recommend that position to anyone though.
Who for sure is transferring from WSU & what event groups are involved, or is this a mass defection of the Titanic?
Any word on what's going to happen to Mark Macdonald, Debra Farwell, Tim Riley, Ellanee Richardson & Matt McGee, or are their contracts past this season? What's going on with their recruits/commits for the next school year?
Sorry to hear the Cougs low - balled James Li. I've heard that Chaplin is pissed at Moos for low balling Li--James is almost like a son to him.
I'm skeptical about Wayne Phipps. Them again, if WSU doesn't get any of the three names bandied about, the question is who is crazy enough to want this job & the associated BS from Moos & co?
It sounds like from Pullman at least 1 distance runner and rumors of some sprinters and throwers.
Macdonald could get a job else where with his experience and past athletes. I imagine Farwell is leaving since I hear she applied for the HC job but wasn't considered. If a distance coach is hired I would think Riley will be forced out. I have no idea about Richarson or McGee.
As for recruits their website only has 3 commitments listed so far.
As for Low-balling Li. I imagine it is a negotiation tactic but who knows with Moos.
On the Chaplin front, who cares what he thinks or feels. He is an old bitter man who dug his NCAA coaching grave long ago.
I agree on the Moos & co comments. It really seems like WSU only cares about football and basketball under Moos. ie not wanting to spend more to get Li or a higher profile coach and waiting so long to get the coach locked in. It took 3 days to get Kent for basketball.

Well, Houghton and Roberts Wesleyan are pretty much the same school...but one is closer to Nick Tahoe's than the other. You're right, I do feel pretty dumb for even engaging this.

I'm new here, where has the entire staff gone and why?

that's the roster page, on the track page the coaches are there
i just thought there was maybe a word from the school that there was going to be a move in staff or something since someone here listed auburn
What's the inside scoop at FIU. Is it a hire from inside deal or are they seriously looking for a candidate to help.
Their men's and women's xc could use some help.
IU has an assistant job (distance) available. Coach Walter is leaving after this season.
by reading some quotes from their former head coach, it's looking like they need some serious stability. Someone level headed who can really show some leadership and direction for the program.
Pretty sure they are going to open it up and look at all options.
Things should start picking up soon, but I doubt there is as much shuffling as last year.
Tennessee will definately be open as JJ's contract is up and they really stunk it up @ the SEC's. 11th place scoring 24 points really sucks for a program with such a great tradition. Not a single point scored in any event on the track!
I agree with your UT assessment.
Based on both the SEC Indoor and Outdoor team results both the ADs at South Carolina and Tennessee need to give up 25% of their salaries; if they are too gutless to make a change with their Head Coaches,in the next 2 weeks !!!
Both of those programs have some assistant coaches with great reputations. If those 2 programs clean house it could start the whirlwind. Have your resumes ready.
