Saw an assistant posting for Colgate. All I know is that's an expensive but solid academic institution in Patriot League, and I thought they had gender specific programs for track. Job posting is for both men and women. Any inside info?

It is not a coaching position - it is an administrative position.
They combined the program the women's coach resigned/retired.
So nearly 2 weeks after interviews complete and no Hire???? Strange.....

WSU has offered the head coaching position to someone. That person was given a few weeks to think about it. Everyone has known about the WSU head coaching position for several months. You would think that the person offered would know if he wants the job or not. Right James?
Wrong.... He has not been offered.
Phipps (Idaho Head) to WSU???
Say What?????
Two separate head jobs at Rowan were just posted! What the hell?
That has to be a joke right!? But who knows, WSU is really sucking right now.
looks like ringo is headed up north to rutgers
what would make ringo a good fit for rutgers? Just curious.
Here is a question that I hope some of the community could answer or provide some perspective.
I am currently a high-school distance coach. Our distance program has had it's best years during the time I have been involved. I am interested in trying to get involved college coaching. However, as I never wrote a cover letter or resume for a coaching position, I am a bit unsure of what to write. I know in the private sector, you try to write about your accomplishments and prior job duties. Would I be correct in assuming in discussing your coaching success? Would you discuss your coaching/training philosophy in applying it to runners?
Any advice.
Yeah I have two pieces of advice:
1. Don't listen to 99.9% of letsrun posters.
2. Take this BS to an appropriate thread.
Ringo is getting a full-time position (finally). Fritzy is retiring. Old news from South Jersey-
Well - wouldn't surprise me at this point...
Hey Splenguinrunner-
To be honest, it wouldn't really matter what you say in regards to your accomplishments with your high school team or your training / coaching philosophy. If you really want to get into collegiate coaching, my best advice would start with the volunteer route. It's not the most glorious thing, but its a start and it's how most collegiate coaches begin their careers.
The Washington State head job has NOT been offered yet and the final candidates have heard nothing from their administration. I find this strange.
WSU is really putting their program into a horrible situation. This job is getting more and more difficult to accept. The new coach has lost more than a year of recruiting, must rebuild a program, and recruit to a very cold place. Way to go Wazzu.
What the heck is going on over there???? Bizarre.... Come on WSU Admin.. Do something!!!
