Did Yale ever hire a throws coach? I looked on their website and nobody is listed. Any throws gurus know what's up in New Haven?

X 2 ???? No possible way this is a distance coaching
What the HeLL happened @ UNCW?
Miami of Ohio combining program and needs a director should be interesting
Miami Ohio is sleeping distance giant. If someone good gets in there they can be the Iona of the Midwest!
Kelly Phillips will be hired. Get your mind right.
Kelly Phillips is not a lock for the position. The new administration has some real strange ideas and wants to be something they can't be due to funding. If anyone reads the job advertisement you would think they have someone external already in mind. This should be a real interesting process.
my sources say they are staying internal.
and my sources tell me its a wide open position

Sure you do.
Anyone else know if there is really going to be an opening? I have an athlete that was considering this program and want to steer them away if there is going to be years of instability/adjustment/resentment due to a he said/she said coaching scandal. I've seen it before and it can take time to clear things up and get on with the business of being a team.
Duquesne has an opening...
Is Tom Slosky leaving? How much funding do they have over there at Duquesne anyway - anyone know?
Apparently Yale did not like their options and is waiting until next year to hire a coach.

Sparks is a good coach- Notre Dame will be fine.
The school recruits itself, don't forget- Piane was a Western Illinois/Loras grad when he assumed the job. Sparks has way more experience- and will be successful.
Given the fact that Notre Dame has the #1 women's recruiting class coming in and that Molly Seidel just won the 10K NCAA championship, I think that Sparks has proven the doubters wrong.
Now, if he could just turn around the men's program, he'll be very sought after as a head coach.

This is my opinion is a great hire by Air Force. I'd like to see them become a major factor in a couple of years and with a young and persistent recruiter they just may get there. It should be a lot easier to recruit to AF then ASU fro distance runners assuming they want to go into the military and can get into school.
Are you kidding? Arizona State has been in the dumps the past 5 yrs, of which Ryan has been overseeing the women the past 3. There's no reason for this, given their rich tradition. A lot easier to recruit to Air Force over Arizona State? The fact it's the Air Force would actually be a turn off for a lot of people. Sorry, not impressed- Ryan had everything at ASU, and he didn't get it done.

Ok Ryan. Why would this thread come up after 7 years if you were bot butt hurt for 7 years. Doing very well at Air Force. Let the job you are doing speak for itself.
