If you like the go for the successful smaller college head coach; then Notre Dame should have interviewed the coach at Aquinas (MI.)to lead the men's distance coaching.
From one Catholic school to another.

Wrong... OSU still open. Omara should get Iowa Job - No brainer... When you coach at Iowa for 19 years and kick major ass with many all American's and do not get promoted.... It's time to move on folks... Scott will kick butt at Nebraska as well. Great guy and Coach!

I don't disagree with you that Scott deserved strong consideration at Iowa for all of his success, but are you saying they made the wrong hire by promoting Woody?
Does Omara want to leave UNI?
No - not saying that at all. He should have been promoted to Associate Head Coach in my opinion. Not sure if Dan would leave or not. He has built a great program at UNI. better pay at Iowa and more challenge in Big 10... So guess we will find out
Eastern michigan sprints filled.almost forgot about this one...They have had 3 different coaches in this position in 3-4 years.
I think they all went on to pretty good positions. Emu is goob but theyre no tennessee
Where did Lamont wind up from EMU? Didn't see that he was hired anywhere.
The Wayne State guy won't ever leave the area. Perfect for him. Wife has a great job and he is from the area. Has developed great kids and has a great set up currently. Not interested in leaving.
Part of what we all forget is that not every coach in the game has an interest in getting to the top of the mountain......
That guy got that job at Tennessee cause no one else wanted that job. I guess it work out well for him though cause Clark is gone and he is still there.
who is at University of ole miss?
Omara would be good, as would Ross Richardson who was a finalist at Nebraska. The carthage college throws coach is a long shot and I think he may have been promoted to head coach at Carthage (though if I'm him I would leave for a big10 job).
Jen Rock to UNCG as assistant xc and track.

Director Woody will do his research and hire somebody really good. I am guessing somebody younger, but has proven to be a good recruiter already. If I were him, I'd take a hard look at Central Mich, Harvard, Minnesota, NDSU or if he really wants to go outside the box Carthage College or Wayne St Neb...

Now to see who takes the spot at Iowa? Dan O'Mera over at UNI could be a front runner.
Which Minnesota coach? Both throws coaches there are alums and have some good things going for them with their current groups.
Who was hired for Distance and Jumps positions at Charleston Southern? Nothing on their site.

Coach Boyce seems like a reach, but I guess the applicant pool couldn't have been very deep.
Tim Boyce is the distance hire at Hawaii, and UNCG hired Jen Rock. Long Beach State has their first cross country meet of the season on Saturday, and they are still taking their time hiring a distance coach. People at LBST have told me that they have narrowed their search down to 3 candidates. Chris Shane, a guy from from California, and a young guy from Texas. Let's hope LBST can hire a coach by Pre-Nats.

...and both are tools.
Obviously meant Reder from MN... He is a class act and elite coach. Known him for many years and gets it done year in and year out! He could get a coaching gig anywhere that opened up. But... He likely will stay at MN as alum there.
