If you have been doing so well coaching and have not moved into a better position, then you are not doing a good job networking. When I first started coaching, as a distance coach, i did everything in my power to get to know sprints coaches. They are going to end up hiring distance coaches.
Because of this I was able to go from high school, to volunteer, to GA, to small college, to Big time college in a matter of 7 years. Now I have a coaching job I love that pays very well and have been able to start a family. If you are that frustrated maybe you should look at what you are doing.
I also really kissed up to women coaches since they have been moving up quicker than men!
