Deena's a great person and runners, but a terrible interviewer. So many good questions left unasked. She didn't ask any intelligent racing questions.

look for dressel to make excuses on his twitter.

Fisher completely cut him off. Dressel was trying to get the shortest straight away, Fisher wouldn't move, you have to be aggressive.
I would not say that Fisher "cut him off". Fisher maintained good position throughout the race and was running the tangents more successfully than everyone else. Dressel finally caught on to this and tried to take the inside when it simply wasn't there. That is where the elbowing started. I am not blaming either runner and think that the both did a great job. You are supposed to try to win and that is what they were doing. I certainly didn't see anything that looked "dirty". Just damn good racing.
That's probably a DQ in our State. Hell, if you breathe on another kid it's a DQ.
The main commentator guy was clueless. He called out girls making moves and got the names and even the Regions wrong. He made a comment about how the 4 Regional guy champions were all in the front when Templeton had already dropped. Piss poor commentating would be an understatement.
Fisher also plays soccer - IN THE FALL - FOR HIS SCHOOL - so he's surely accustomed to bumping. The kid runs like a robot. Great arm carriage.I thought he may have gone a bit early with his surge on the big downhill, especially after Dressel caught him again.Dressel is just a junior too though- good things for next year. Did you hear him in his post-race interview "...of course I'll be here- it's FOOTLOCKER."

It was great elbows/cutting off by both of them. Classic race.
I thought Maton ran well. It was nice to see especially after last weeks race (Was curious how he would recover after last weeks race). Tough to have to hard back to back efforts like that so late in the season.
Considering the amount of elite juniors at FL this year, it will be even more competitive next year. Not that it was this year because of the weak class of 2014. So next year FL>>>>>>>>>>NXN. At least for boys
Did FL run out of large shorts before Hardy got his uniform? He looked like John Stockton with those short shorts! Although if I had the size of package I see that Joe has I would wear them too. I think the reason Hardy didn't win was because he was running with a python in his pants. OMG. Just sayin. I'm straight.
maton let others with speed hang around too long. didn't run with enough courage; out too slow, too cautious. should've challenged everybody in the second mile, pushing the pace.
I agree. Plus, an elbow wouldn't have affected Dressel by 3 seconds
west boys would still have won the team title with its 3rd, 4th,5th,6th and 7th runners!
1 West 2 3 2 3 5 6 7 8 12
2 Northeast 5 6 4 10 11 14 17 18 21
3 Midwest 6 4 1 13 15 16 19 27 28
4 South 9 8 9 20 22 23 24 25 26

So it will be like every other year.
Agreed. People needed to push the pace early if they were beating Fisher. As the race went on at 4:53-5:00 pace, the probability of Fisher winning just kept going up. Dressel gave it one hell of an effort though- props to him too.Awesome race.

Templeton...WTF
Runner that took 12th Trevor Reinhart does not run track, Lacrosse kid!
Grant Fisher XC state champ in Michigan but also the #1 XC academic student in the state as well! His GPA is off the charts.
South Brutal. Better dead than red!
Can someone explain the scoring results? What is 2 3 2 3 supposed to mean? Or is this just messed up?
Doesn't take a rocket scientist or advanced math to figure out the first 2 3 is really 23, their team score.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
