Don't start that nonsense again
I don't know what you mean. I had to look up Bates' results at the Boise State website to see if she had lost any other races. She hadn't so I thought it was a point of interest.
Anyone have midwest results?
Its "only" a regional but good-sized gap between Arizona's fourth and their fifth.
Providence had a similar time gap from first to fifth but have arguable better front runners. Do we have a new (but old) #1 going into nationals?
Any more news on mountain region?

Very nice finish by Saarel.
Pierce Murphy also jumps out. This guy was just another 9:14 guy in HS (from Hawaii) and he still has no track PRs to speak of. But he finishes Colorado's number one with a couple of seasons to go.

If by nonsene you mean that Bates wasn't trying to win at Dellinger, then you're nuts. She gave a Flotrack interview at prenats where she admitted some embarrassment at losing to Efraimson. Efraimson won fair and aquare, and nobody wanted to lose to her.
^^^Looks like 11 of the top 13 places finished within 4sec of each other. Dudes were battling for those team points. Awesome.

2:16 marathoner (Ward) just good enough for 4th in the Mountain Region. Yes, there's specificity differences between a marathon and a xc, but Good Lord that's a deep region.

Admitting embarrassment does not equal trying to win
