It looks a lot better. Nice job.
I look forward to the message board update.

Love it. Thank you.
Wejo; scrap this. You can see more with the old site; this mobile look will be the death of your site. Scrolling through scads of stuff is not the way to go. Personally I don't like any mobile sites because I want to read the front page like a newspaper. Information is hidden buried; on the old site stories would catch your eye; now not at all. Again not an improvement.
I like it. More modern, but not a drastic change.
Nice work, BroJos, and whoever helped design it. Keep up the good work.
Congrats on the new layout, Weldon. The old one was so 1995, but with the remodel you've definitely made it into 1998. Right now I'm browsing on Netscape Navigator from my iMac G3. If you want me to report some bugs, you can add me to your AOL buddy list. My screen name is PaintballDude69.
Right now, there's something odd going on with the mobile layout, which we are aware of.

POD!
I like it, but can you please stop auto-playing videos? It really slows down my computer and seems like a waste of bandwidth on the site's part.

Yes, real people do read the front page.
Fact: Letsrun trolls do not read the front page.
I like it. Clean, neat, easy to read. Very good. Hope the message board improves too!
New design looks great.
Not enough pixel height allocated for Google banner on home page - bottom of banner gets cut off
I don't like this new look.
You could see way more information on the old version without having to scroll.
Not an improvement.
Do something with this awful message board. You do not want too many subforums because that reduces the Wild West nature of this board. You do this:
1. Running related forum
2. Off topic forum
3. Location-based forums that allow runners in a certain area to connect with other runners. Then this place could be a forum where runners can connect with other runners in a civil manner. That will vastly increase your loyal visitors.
You can thank me later when #3 is wildly successful.
Why have you not migrated to Face Book which has everything you need for a standard website with amateur images and runner blogs.
If you could find a way to spell check and even grammar check before you update the main page you will have truly arrived.
Have you thought of getting educated people to write for you or perhaps even going to school to work on your ESL?
like it. it's more organized.
Like the new look, and site performance seems fine. Assuming there is a CMS backend now (i.e. wordpress)?
If so, can you provide RSS feeds or at least a master "all posts/content" feed? Would make it really easy to keep up on running news while still enabling me to go straight to the boards.
Also, +1 to new forum software while still keeping wild west feel. I read howtogeek.com and they implemented new forums
http://www.discourse.org/about/
. Seems pretty clean, promising and better than phpBB and all that heavy forum software crap. No, I'm not affiliated. Whatever you do with the forum, keep it simple.
They have a demo site:
thoughts?
Also, whatever you do, please no requirement to log in with facebook, twitter, or the like.

Message board improvements are coming.
There's a couple of things about the boards:
1. They look outdated
2. They're very dense (threads per page, posts per page)
1 is I guess a bad thing, but it doesn't really impact the experience. 2 is a good thing, it's good not having to scroll all over the place. Lots of padding and whitespace is fashionable for websites but it kind of sucks for information-dense pages like message boards. It's nice being able to see a ton of thread titles on the same page, changing that wouldn't be an improvement.
Love the new front page though.
+1
