I've been having some pain on the lateral toes of my feet, so I went to The Good Feet Store today and got my feet measured for orthotics.
At the end of the whole fitting process, I was told that the cost is $860 for their "system" of orthotics, which includes three different pairs of orthotics. The first pair for every day, the second pair for leisure, weekends, and runs, and I don't know what the hell the third pair is for.
Is this a joke? What kind of racket is The Good Feet Store running?
I've bought custom orthotics in the past and they never cost over $300. Why would anybody shell out $860 for an entire orthotics "system" without having any idea if orthotics will even be beneficial in one's specific case?
Is anybody familiar with The Good Feet Store? Is this all just snake oil? Thoughts, please!
