Where'd you hear that? And what does that have to do with wanting to run fast?

Zola Budd was only mediocre up to a certain age when a family tragedy (death of her sister) led to her training an enormous amount (twice a day with the second workout up to two hours long) and she very quickly improved dramatically. see the runners world article on her.
Salazar might not turn me into a world-class runner. But what if he adopted a 5-year-old orphan? I'd be surprised to see the kid not grow up to be an elite.[/quote]
Not only an elite but also able to walk on water.
Salazar has his own kids. Why were they not forced to be his lab rats?

Keep going Wigins, I'm enjoying the ass-beating you have been taking this entire thread.
What, you mean the shit-talk from unregistered poltroons like you with no facts or relevant arguments? Or the made up facts like "the lazy kids always win?" Which of those is "beating" me?
And which other posters are you under different names. Nope, kid, you'll have to troll way better than that to get old Wigins down. I know when I'm right.

I would have more respect for you if you'd admit that you are way over your head here, but by definition, you apparently cannot recognize it. You have been proven to possess a rather mediocre mind in this thread, and nobody with a brain says "the lazy kids always win," but you demonstrate no understanding at all of the role that genetics plays in human endeavor, including athletic exploits. Of course, the innate talent must be developed via training, but Salazar cannot make anybody a good runner, and you showed colossal ignorance in essentially asserting this.
In fact, if Salazar had nurtured Usain Bolt from the age of 5 to be an outstanding distance runner, Usain Bolt would probably run a nice 800m and below, but there is no way in hell that he'd ever approach sub 28 for 10,000m. Ever. And I am excluding some EPO-like substance that transforms one into an endurance animal.

You tried a little too hard here. Better trolling next time.
There is no "trying" and no "trolling," you imbecile.

Well if you're really being sincere, then you are mistaken and don't know what you're talking about regarding this issue. Acting so certain and insulting him is only making you look dumber.

Actually, I do know what I am talking about, and you are obviously very stupid. Very stupid.

So you are a troll after all. What is so fun about trolling?

Calling someone an idiot and stupid isn't trolling if you actually believe that they're stupid.
I would imagine given the evidence, that not only is he not trolling, he is also most probably correct.

Does anyone know if the offspring of Yobes and Lisa Ondieki are runners? I would think they might have some talent.
How about Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery?
Steve Lewis and Ester Jones has a fast kid in college.

My point is that the genetics of personality are what posters here should be considering.
The examples of twins brought up separately who had very simliar personalities is from studies of genetics. Google it if you care that much.
