The real question should be why are they running this meet on a Friday afternoon? Makes no sense, especially when high school XC kids would be the most likely to come and watch. At least make it after school hours before the sun goes down. Dumb!

The answer is usually parking and traffic problems conjestion caused by football games in the area of the meet on sats.

Are you crazy? Belmonte plateau is NOTHING compared to the states course (poop-out -hill course at Hershey). By far the best course in the nation.
I can almost guarantee that you haven't run many XC meets outside Pennsylvania. Sure, Hershey is slow (hell, putting the treadmill at 10% incline and running a 5k is slow) but it doesn't have the aura of a true XC course. Belmont Plateau's course isn't just a bunch of random loops around a sewage facility, three, solid laps, each differing. The woods section allows for breakaways, but the last 1k is completely flat allowing for some fast finishes if you calculate your effort on Flagpole. Hershey has hills for sure but you're just running up and down the "Alhoha" hills for 16 minutes. Franklin Park, though historical, can become boring. Lots of loops of the main field, and Bare Cage hill is a complete joke.

Go to the Men's/Women's "Scoring" links to get team affiliations.
Oregon men romped, with six of the top nine places. Women's scores are a bit deceptive, because Providence was in complete control (four of the top seven finishers) but took a looong time to finish their #5. Cornell (third-place women's team) actually had its fifth well in front of her, and two more Big Red finished directly behind her.

In this case there was a football game going on at the same time as the meet.
Why is no one hyping up cheserek and leingang?!?!?! Come on guys they just went 1-2 at the BC invite today. 24:11!! Am I stupid or something? Isn't this impressive?!?!
UO are not what they used to be. They don't command an audience anymore. They're essentially just another solid (top 20) NCAA DIV I CC program and that's about it. The NCAA crème de la crème is not at UO's beck and call anymore and they're not willing to play in UO's backyard just because UO demands it.

I don't know, call the Oregon coaches stupid and those who ran weak, if you like...but why not learn something about the sport, teams and runners before you post next time?
My bad really didn't think Oregon could win the meet without 3 of it's top 7 of Fleet,Jenkins and pepoit. I was right that Oregon didn't have a chance really without it's 4 top Women Woodward,Leblanc and the 2 transfers Crevoiserat and Zrinyi. But i'm guessing if Oregon ran it's top 4 ladies they wouldn't have gotten 2nd to Providence that's for sure. Hell missing your top 4 and only 35 points behind the number 1 team just shows the depth the Oregon WOmen and the Men for that matter have this year. GO DUCKS

Pay a little closer attention.
Oregon usually sits out a few top runners at the first meet...which recently has been the Dellinger.
It will be interesting to see if Fleet will be a top 5 scorer this year...
