I'm not sure that anyone's defending Israel or doing anything but state facts. You're the one whose obsession with Israel keeps coming up. Uncle B again?

fyi here is roughly why israel hasn't signed - the basic reason is that they don't trust their neighbors, who probably also have chemical weapons, and those neighbors have a real habit of attacking Israel
FYI oh ignorant one, no one in the history of the world has ever made a first strike against Israel.
You can't be that ignorant.
So, let's take this back to Syria, Russia and the US. I'm thinking this is the international game of good cop bad cop.
Lavrov to Assad: Those Americans are crazy, they'll bomb anything with a turban on it's head. You better hand over those weapons.
Putin to the world: America must remove the threat of force for the process to proceed.
Kerry: Ok, peace may be possible, but we might just bomb syria anyway if they look at us crosswise.
Obama: What my guy with the big chin and bad plastic surgery said. We're batsh** crazy. You better listen to your homies in Moscow and get rid of that crap or we've got hellfire missiles with your name on 'em.
White Phosphorus Fact Sheet
: According to the Chemical Weapons Convention Schedule of Chemicals, the chemical P4 is neither a toxic chemical nor a precursor to a toxic chemical. Protocol III of The Convention on Prohibition or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons Which May be Deemed to be Excessively Injurious or to Have Indiscriminate Effects (CCW) prohibits
and restricts the use of incendiary weapons in civilian populations.
It defines an incendiary weapon as "any weapon or munition which is primarily designed to set fire to objects or to cause burn injury to persons"; this definition excludes "munitions which may have incidental effects, such as illuminants, tracers, smoke or signaling systems."
Under that qualification, WP is not necessarily considered an "incendiary weapon" if it incidentally sets buildings on fire.
Military Use: The United States military and foreign militaries use WP in grenades, mortar shells, and artillery shells to mark targets, to provide smokescreens for troop movement, to “trace” the path of bullets, and as an incendiary. These items are classified as both smoke ammunitions and incendiary ammunitions. When burning, WP emits smoke that can screen troop movement.
So you'd have no problem if someone dumped tons of WP on the Israeli people?
Like the IDF did to the Gazans?
GENEVA—The joint U.S. Russian push to dismantle Syria’s chemical weapons is starting to have ripple effects, focusing attention on the suspected arsenal of Israel.
……
But a frequent complaint among Arab countries in the region—that Israel has an undeclared but presumed nuclear-weapons program—has already resurfaced.
Syria’s government has hinted that it could raise Israel’s suspected arsenal of nuclear and other weapons as an international issue and potentially a precondition for Damascus moving ahead on the destruction of what the U.S. estimates is at least 1,000 tons of chemical agents.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has publicly stated that Syria’s program was only necessary as a defense against Israel’s vastly superior firepower.
“It’s well known that Syria has a certain arsenal of chemical weapons and the Syrians always viewed that as an alternative [response] to Israel’s nuclear weapons,” he said Tuesday.
This position could place the Obama administration in a diplomatic corner……
“The main danger of WMD is the Israel nuclear arsenal,” Syria’s ambassador to the U.N., Bashar Ja’afari, told reporters on Thursday.
Mr. Ja’afari said Israel needed to place its suspected atomic weapons under international supervision and sign the nuclear nonproliferation treaty. He said Syria wasn’t making such actions by Israel a prerequisite for Syria moving ahead and destroying its chemical weapons, but said the world must also focus on the Israeli arsenals.
“Israel has chemical weapons and nobody is speaking about it,” he said

Actually Syria has only submitted their application. They haven't signed the treaty yet. But they will. Just like Israel.
Ok, thanks for the correction.
I see the message board has been otherwise scrubbed clean of the threads on AIPAC pushing Washington to attack Syria and on Israel getting all of our personal communications from the NSA.
How'd this one slip thru?
They're still here. They're just not on the first page anymore. You did realize there's more than one page, didn't you?
Syrians continue to slaughter Syrians but again Israel is at fault. Still denying chemical weapons use?

Ha ha. He thought there was only 1 page? More proof that these anti-Semitic conspiracy nutjobs are stupid. Ha ha.

Still awaiting proof it was Assad's regime who used it.
Still denying Israel has chemical weapons and nukes?
Still denying it is the Israel Lobby behind the push to attack Syria?
Still denying Israel dropped WP on the Gazans and cluster bombs on the Lebanese? Where was the outcry in the media to attack Israel due to these violations of "international norms"?

I dunno. The fact that it is the Israel Lobby that is pushing us to war with Syria and the fact that the NSA gave the Israel government all of our private emails, etc. and that the mainstream media is ignoring both stories seems somewhat important to Americans.
Not to traitors or sheeple, maybe. But to everyone who loves America

True.

False.
Still awaiting proof it was As sad's regime who used it.
The govt has proof, but they're sure as heck not ready to share it with you
Still denying Israel has chemical weapons and nukes?
No. Who did?
Still denying it is the Israel Lobby behind the push to attack Syria?
They were one of several lobbies pushing for a strike.
Still denying Israel dropped WP on the Gazans and cluster bombs on the Lebanese?
No. Who did?

You want to attack an ally? That's just dumb.
The old double standard? And what makes you think Israel is an ally? They are not in NATO. They have signed nothing that obliges them to do anything for the USA. It is a one way street. How is that an ally?

False.
I am afraid you are misinformed. Probably on purpose. This is precisely what the NSA has done and is doing. Read the "Memorandum of Understanding"
