That's pretty close to reality. However, I doubt the sub 60 too. You ought not to oververestimate the ability of athletes based on appearance.

Of course not

I saw her at a race once. She can't even run under 22 minutes for a 5k.
Rich Froning can't even run under 22 minutes (PR of 22:12 I think) and he is greatest cross-dre ... I mean cross-fitter every!
She could definitely haul ass, but it would require multiple trips.
For those who don't think she could break 5 minutes, what time do you think she could manage?
What could she do for the 100? Think the big, powerful woman could go sub-12? sub-13?
Serena Williams is probably the one FEMALE ATHLETE with the greatest potential for OVERALL fitness. Just look at her, BUFF, strong, big biceps, pretty much unheard of for a female athlete yet incredibly feminine assets.
I would argue if training exclusively for sprinting/running, her ceiling for each distance could be:
100m: sub 11
200m: sub 22
400m: sub 50
800m: sub 2:00
Now with the mile, it becomes tricky, since she is certainly more the sprinter type. I would still say she would be able to hold on to ~4:50.
Anything above would be tough for someone as BUFF as her. Sub 19 for 5k, anything over 5k would be rather ugly, I hate to admit.

So you are saying that Serena, who weighs maybe 220 pounds, could clock a sub-19 5K. And Rich Froning -- the greatest crossfitter ever - has a PR of 22:12?
That's almost as funny as Serena running sub 2:00 for 800 meters, basically a step or two behind Mary Cain and Ajee Wilson.
the real question is, could Serena Williams kick Eli Manning's A$$? It looks like she could

I assume you are a troll, but if you aren't, that has to be one of the most uninformed posts I have ever seen. I just can't accept that someone with a little intelligence and knowledge of running could even begin to think that Serena could run those times.

Many people have posted what they think she could run. For me, I think she could break 7, but definitely not 6.
Also, can I add that Serena is one of my least favorite athletes of all time. What an awful person. Not just from the time she threatened to shove a ball down a linesmen's throat, but just how she treats people, especially her competitors and how she acts in general. Her system isn't much better, but does appear to have at least some class.

I believe at one point, Katie Smith (WNBA) held the Ohio State girls record in the shot put. Her senior year she won both the shot and discus at the state meet, was all ohio in volleyball, and the best basketball player in the history of Ohio. She is currently the second all time leading scorer in the WNBA and with 2 years in the ABL is the all time leading womens pro basketball scorer in the U.S.
At 5'11" 175 I think she is a good comparison to Serena Williams at 5'9" 155.

LOL. More interesting question - what could Serena do for a football 40, which would certainly be her best running event.
For Serena, 100m would seem long, 200m would be a distance event, and anything longer would be sprint start, recovery jog, sprint finish. Don't believe? Google Kadecia Baird. WC 400m in HS, 10' pace for 2.5M XC.
Among women tennis players, Steffi Graf might have been able to take a shot at 2 flat for 800m - she actually talked about trying the event at one point. I also thought it would have been interesting to find out what Elena Dementieva could have done in an 800m - she certainly seemed to have the fitness + the right physique.
Serena is a great athlete and a great tennis player but not any form of distance runner [middle or long]. In another life she might have been a first-rate short sprinter, but she would have liked anything longer than 100m about as much as Donovan Bailey did.
Even xfit dude is not this dumb.

I don't know about Serena, but her sister Venus ran a 5:29 at age eight.
5:11 at best

With her hand speed and overhead power, as shown by her serious serve, I bet she could be world class in the javelin.

There was some talk about her entering the Olympics in 88 as a runner. She's said have been able to run at least the qualifying standard for either 400m or 800m but I've never seen a definitive source.
