Because they can't win the argument.

Sad but true.
It is probably because people make baseless accusations about a profession that is respected enough by health insurance companies to be credentialed for reimbursement, by medicare for reimbursement, and respected enough after years of study in cost effectiveness done by the department of defense that determined that chiropractic be included in the VA healthcare system.
People are claiming pseudoscience, but can't reference anything current to support their position. They compare it medical education knowing full well chiropractors don't have the same healthcare objective as medical doctors and don't practice in the same capacity. They don't realize if chiropractors were so incompetent, malpractice rates would be very high, but are often 10-15x less than a general practitioner.
This is why there is name calling all you argumentative mother effers!
Some top athletes even go to homeopathists. Doesn't mean it's a proper science.
but you still haven't said what is wrong with the science...so until you do, I am going to assume you don't know anything about chiropractic or science at all.

I have dealt with many different medical professionals in my career and in my personal life as an athlete. I have seen chiropractors that were complete jokes and I have seen some that were great. The same can be said about many MD's and specialists.
I find the most successful and best practitioners, no matter what thier title is, are the ones that take a holistic approach. Your body parts are not isolated and treating them shouldn't be (as far as your musculoskeletal system). The best chiros I have dealth with are the ones that don't say, "come back and get adjustments 3X a week forever" instead they are the ones who work with medical specialists, pt's, massage therapists, and so on.
If a chiro claims that they can cure any condition you have by snapping your neck and cracking your back, they are bull. Same can be said about an MD that says all you need is ibuprofen and rest to cure any orthopedic condition you have. Without including some sort of rehab exercises, stretches and theraputic modalities both sides of the fence are quacks.
By the way, the folks on here calling people names while trying to defend chiros are not doing the field justice.

Allow me to enlighten you then, troll: every NFL franchise has at least one team chiropractor on their medical staff, and 8 of them employ two.
Oh the NFL. They also denied concussions were bad for you. Yes, they know a lot about sound medical practices.
This is an asinine post. There are very very very few MDs who I would say are a "Joke." Its just too much work to not learn a lot.
No MD would every say IBUPROFEN will cure anything.
That's not what I said. I said if an MD told somebody that ibuprofen and rest would cure and orthopedic injury they would be a joke the same as a chiro saying thier adjustment will cure cancer.
I have met some MD's that shouldn't be practicing, the reason isn't as simple as the example I gave above but they are trying to deal with things they are not trained to deal with and the end result is not in the best interest of the pt. I gave a simple example to make a point. I believe the asinine post was yours mister ;laksdjf;alskjf
Please try reading and comprehending what was written before jumping on and making a name of ;alskd;wlkg;lkh and commenting.
Then why do MD's prescribe Ibuprofen and not refer out to other specialists?
I find my chiropractor is a bitch.
It starts the moment I walk in with the receptionist pumping me for information and the chiropractor in the treatment room 'listening'
I assumed my chiropractor would understand that with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis I have difficulty pushing a vaccume cleaner around and changed to a hand-held.
My chiropractor seemed to think this was hilarious, shouting to the other chiropractor in the practice, and receptionist how I will be cleaning my carpet with a hand-held cleaner.
Bitch - and a bit professionally inappropriate is it not?
If only I hadn't pre-paid and if only her adjustments weren't so good!
Are they doctors?
They may have PhD's but they are certainly NOT medical doctors.
Here's some real science for you, and another reason besides placebo many people feel better after spinal manipulation.
can't believe no one has referenced this yet?

Nope!!!! To the OP Obama was the biggest Joke Ever!!!!
I have seen the same thing too at a Chrio office that I used to go to. People would keep going and the practitioners would say that they need to keep making more appointments. When I asked about my progress they would snap at me and say I need more appointments. Never a straight answer. I decided to not go anymore. I felt something was fishy. Maybe it helps some people but I did not get a lot out of it. The patients would also jump all me if I made any negative comments about the office or questioned if the treatment was working.
Chiropractors are the least educated of all heath care providers and are not science based. Most of what they do is a sham and they are delusional treating subluxations that do not exist. They cannot cure or prevent any disease except low back pain and that is only of minimak benefit. They need to market themselves as they are rather dumb and almost anyone can get into chiro school. They are dishionest and lack accountability. They are simply a freud and quacks. Thank you for this consultation
It's obvious that people who say that chiropractors are fraud and quacks have never worked with them. You can literally feel the relief during the manipulations of a chiro, and after the chiropractic adjustment, you feel reborn. I always consult with a chiropractor from this page https://nearu.pro/chiropractors , and I know for a fact that these specialists can actually help.
To answer the thread title: yes.
I have seen maybe 3 or 4 for an injury i had that lasted me about 5 years and none were able to even remotely help (was apinched nerve problem) What i learned mostly was that sttengthening core and leg muscle groups through weight training will solve almost all overuse type injuries.
No need to see a chiropracter for that.
Most chiros are so stupid they are probably all unvaccinated from Covid
