My usual breakfast is a bowl of oatmeal with some fruit, peanut butter and a dallop of Greek yogurt. I'm usually satisfied with that but about an hour later I'm craving sweet carbs like a few donuts or something. Can someone explain why this happens? I read somewhere but can't remember where but it has something to do with a certain hormone being released when your body eats a lot of carbs. I think it effects people who have diabetic tendencies like myself. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
