Three mile split, maybe. But, Ruppy still has to sprint until 5k is done. 13:20 is more like it.
No out of competition tests in st. Moritz. He'll be ready to roll

not up yet, they will be here.
http://www.diamondleague-brussels.com/en/Meet-Info/Meeting-Program/ProgrammeAndMeetingOnTV/I know they are not up, so what is the source that Rupp, Jager, and Derek are running?
Jager and Derrick have confirmed it on Twitter.
If the pace up front is decent, I think Jager can get a solid PR!! Wouldn't doubt he's in the 13:04-07 range right now, maybe even a little faster...I always thought he had the capabilities to break 13 one day...for some reason I doubt it will happen in this race tho. I'm callin 13:06!! Still an 8 second best. His 7:35 3k from the end of last season indicates about 13:01-02...I think he's just as strong as he was back then. Had a 13:14 pb back in April of this year. Watch out for him if the race plays out right!!

12.52 FAT from the blocks is optimistic for Rupp's 100.

Surprised Rupp-certified Saladbar hasn't come in making some snarky, insulting comment.
Aw, glad you missed me.
I'm still here. Rupp just hasn't done anything worth talking about.
Bumbalough, Derrick, and Jager are all capable of running 13:05. I wonder if True, Mead, or Hill will also be running.

I second this. American Record, it's being called! We'll be geniuses when the record gets broken, like Ventolin^3 predicting Mo Farah's 1500m performance.
alright, does anyone know any specific details for the 5k at this meet? startlist, pacemakers, much less if Rupp seriously might show up? There's nothing on the Brussels Diamond League meet website, so it's kind of crazy to suggest a fast 5k pace would even be in the works. In fact, it seems that, looking at the meet website records, they haven't even had a men's 5,000m race for the last three years!

American Record Attempt???
Haven't read the thread, but I wouldn't be at all surprised. I'd say he's gunning for something like this to salvage his otherwise, by NOP detractors', mediocre results. Some good rest, more sharpening, an evenly pace time trial in good weather, and boom. Rupp probably could've gone sub-12:50 last year.
Rupp can't even beat Lagat, so I doubt he can beat Lagat's record.

There is a 5000 (assuming he doesn't try the 400 hurdles).
Dang! I was hoping for a 10000. I guess the 10000 on track is pretty much dead outside championships now. Not one single one in the Diamond League this year and almost nothing else except for qualifying races for championships.
World #1 Mo Farah has only run one in a year.
World #2 Ibrahim Jeilan has only run one i two years.
American #1 Galen Rupp has only run two in one year, counting the US qualifier this year.
Former World #1 Kenenisa Bekele has only run one since Brussels (or was it Lausanne) two years ago, and that was at Pre this spring when Mo Farah bailed out off making it a clash.
Pre Worlds semi-favorite Dejen Gebremeskel has only run two in his lifetime, incluing Worlds 2013.
When Samuel Wanjiru ran 26:40 for the junior world record six or seven years ago it wasn't even enough to get him on the Kenyan national team for the distance, the event has gone downhill fast...
Only seven Americans have ever run 13:05 or better. That's a very hard thing to do.
