I think he just did.
No, just another market sucker providing liquidity to the institutional traders. Musical chairs and Detector Dude will be out soon enough.
More unfounded assumptions from the desperate.

That's called selling low, buying high.

the people who have done the best have bought the us stock market index, added regularly, never tried to be cute or clever, and never opened their statemetns.
The total market index represents the average of the market, i.e. the middle of the market, not the best.

Wonderful! Buy, buy, buy, buy.
It will be followed by another bull market and new record highs.
Wonderful! Sell, sell, sell, sell.
Igy sells low as he is always high.
Gee Detector Dude, when your around everyone is a Winner!
What about his around?
And you're a Winner too!
Once again, rather than engage in mature discussion, Igy petitions the mods to delete posts that offer contrary positions to his.
Given the weakness of his position, it's one of his only recourses.
How so? What is your opinion on current market valuation?
Earnings Scorecard: As of Friday (with 98% of the companies in the S&P 500 reporting actual results for Q4 2016), 65% of S&P 500 companies have beat the mean EPS estimate and 53% of S&P 500 companies have beat the mean sales estimate.
That's great news. Thanks for sharing.

some truth to the selling low/buying high criticims, except come on - small caps are within a hair of all time highs, up 27% over 52 wks vs only 22% for big caps. So not really selling low.
and also, I'm not a contrarian. I believe momentum strategies work better than contrarian strategies. at least when I am doing them.
Disagree with your claims about the total market index - it is utterly dominated by mega caps. You seem to be suggesting that if you buy total stock market index, you get a midcap index. That is far from the truth.
Average market cap total stock market index: 65 billion
average market cal for large cap index: 7bn
average market cap for mid cap index: 11 billion
" small cap index: 3 billion
so the total stock market indices are really large cap, just not as much as the large cap indices.
merde. Typos.
Here's the corrected text:
